Search up “Cheats for *Your game* 3ds” then install it, use Rosalina launcher and enable plugins then open up your game. That you installed “Cheats” for the screen should flash blue which means its loaded. Or just use check point and chose the game you want “Cheats” for and choose. *PLEASE DONT SUE ME NINTENDO, I PAY FOR EVERYTHING*

note for the 3DS save file backup, this also allows you to backup and have extra DS save files, for example on dragon quest 9 you can only have one save file however it has no functionality for cheats

Old 3DS/2DS models take longer to install .cia files, but the "new"3DS/2DS models download them slightly faster. I prefer the "new" 3DS models because they are able to emulate few more consoles like some PS1 games(not all).

@@tiffanyl2121 Great question, I have around 100+ games that I personally tested which include titles like Tony Hawk 1-4, Twisted Metal 1-4, Xenogears, Tenchu, Valkyrie Profile, all Final Fantasy, all Resident Evil and more. So it can emulate great PS1 titles.

Use custom-install. There should be tutorials online. It makes your downloads run at the speed of your PC instead of the speed of the 3DS firmware and even allows for batch downloads.

@ Correct, custom-install method is the fastest option to install .cia files, which I use to get orders done within an hour or so with complete setup for customers.

I literally modded my first ever device yesterday. Glad to find a way to get firered. I'm wanting at least one of each generation of games. Gen 1 and 2 are easy bc of hshop also ghost shop is another shop I found. My and up are easy. Its the rare hard to find games I want. Gba sapphire edition or even emerald. I have sapphire on my gba physical and alpha but it would be fun to have all on one device. I am glad I found a 128gb micro sd with a sd adapter. I watched your other how to videos as well. Looking for gen3 through to pokemon x which is oldest 3ds/ds i found

There's a program you can run called "Custom-Install" and your PC that will install big CIA files like Pokemon titles in just a few minutes rather than 20m+. It runs the installs through your PC rather than the 3DS poor firmware and makes all downloads faster. It even allows for batch downloads.

I was about to say that GBA emulators on the 3DS (all models) were unneeded until you got to the QR code part. The reason why it's unneeded because the 3DS actually has GBA hardware and runs GBA games natively. The only possible issue is if you're planning on installing a lot of games since the 3DS has a 300 app limit.

That was how I got my FireRed, from a random reddit post that had a Google Drive on it I only wasn't skeptical due to the upvote ratio & amount, but I would look for an archive of QR images that is trusted. There's at least one out there for converted GBA -> CIAs

I just finished setting up my O3DSXL last week. For GBA games I set up a GBA folder and then installed open_agb_firm. It sucks having to restart the 3DS, not having access to emulator functions like fast forward or save states and the 3DS doesn't sleep when closed, but I've found it to be the most convenient way to pick up and play any GBA game at any given moment. Everything else has been great though!

The idea would be to be able to pick up and play any GBA game at any point in time like you could do with most other handheld emulation devices.

I need someone to answer! So you know how you can go to the Home Screen with 3ds games and it allows you to like move in the Home Screen and choose another app to play? Is there a way to do that with regular ds games so that I can go to the home menu and do things quicker because when you have a ds game and click the Home Screen it takes you to a black screen that doesn’t let you do anything I just wanna turn up my brightness high or low when I click the home button on my 3DS

Nope but there is a little-known easy way to adjust the brightness or toggle power saving screen mode. Press home and on the screen asking if you want to close the game, hold start and press up/down to adjust brightness, or left/right for power saving off/on.
