GMC/Chevy Truck Homelink Programing for Multiple Doors

For those with two doors and one door is already programmed on #1, to program #2, SKIP the part where you hold down 1 & 3 to avoid resetting 1. Jumped straight into pairing remote to button 2, hit the learn button on the genie and back to the homelink button 2 to complete the step. Thanks for the video.

Please remove the step that clears the other programmed buttons. Following the steps, I cleared my already programmed buttons and now have to find remotes to reprogram them.

Failed to retain the door control Everytime I hit the outer left and right button hold it down till it blinks fast hold my remote up program the button I want to use until it goes solid then I do the first step again to program the other side and it wipes it out completely clears the first button

Tinkering Fox do you know where that fuse would be located at ? I was looking into the wires and testing them. There is 3 wire black, brown and yellow/violet or burgundy wire and I tested them. The yellow/violet wire doesn’t light up. And I traced that wire to the “mid bec” and I don’t know where it goes from there after.

Whenever I try to add another garage door it erases the previously saved doors so the button no longer opens that garage door. Anyone else kmow how to fix this?

No, I don’t think so. Clear all memory in the Homelink, then enter programming mode on your opener. Program the Homelink just like a regular opener.

After the buttons have been cleared you should be able to sync it to your garage motor if you put the garage motor in learn mode.

Press and hold the two outter buttons for like 15 seconds to clear everything out. Next hold your working remote next to the Homelink button you want to use and press both the working remote button and the Homelink button simultaneously for like 5 seconds. The blinking should change to fast. Now if it won’t open your garage door that’s ok because it’s now cloned. You can now program your door per its instructions and the Homelink should be able to program to it like any hand held remote.

I have had an issue once using a remote to clone to the Homelink. One remote worked fine while another (different brand) didn’t work. Try another remote if possible and if you don’t have on you can pick one up (universal) at Home Depot for like $20.
