Kev, I've listened to you since your early days in the UK and know that you're great. The last time that you came to Cheltenham, I took my wife to see you (and your daughter). It’s like the old joke about Poncho Villa. Someone asked the old guy if he knew him and it was about like this story how Poncho Villa made him eat shit, then the tables turned and he made Poncho Villa eat shit. The punch line is he was such good friends that had lunch with Poncho Villa. It was almost identical to this song. I don’t know if Kevin got the idea from the joke or if the joke was from the song, but someone stole this from someone else.

A simple and vulgar story from the school’s history, turned into a good yarn is NOT “stealing” from anyone. I’d play “The Doll” 3:58 , a masterpiece of classic music, and damned hard to do: to sing, clown around and stay on the music (which is all scales, and therefore difficult) is only attempted by the cream of the crop. A further difficulty in its performance is that it must be done by a younger and smaller bodied female. Pretty is better by far. As with this item, I’ve spent a large part of my life on ( amateur) stage, and not everyone I’ve been on with could have done Manuel. I can sing, but I seriously doubt that I would have auditioned for the part. Horses for courses.

@@brianbyrne8163 taking a joke someone else thought up and told for their own is stealing. It’s not exactly a yarn or tale, it’s a well written JOKE. I disagree with you, taking another person’s material from an artist is theft.
