1. I never criticize someone over who their favorite play is, even if I think they suck, because it's about your favorite not who is best. I don't think any of these guys suck. One fun Stat comparison highlights the problem with comparing Jordan and Kobe. Jordan won Rookie of the Year. His rookie stats are almost identical to Kobe's MVP season stats. That's insane. I watched an ESPN special with four commentators each saying their guy was best. MJ, LeBron, Kobe, another guy I can't remember. One final question by NJ's supporter stopped the conversation dead. End of show.... Who is responsible for more NBA Hall of Famers not having rings? Jordan winning 6 rings and 6 MVPs is important. That his stats go up in the playoffs is key. When a championship was on the line, he never lost. How is LeBron such a lousy free throw shooter? You are making excuses for a guy, who if he is the best, needs no excuses. The highlights are actual irrelevant. The highlights are not the basis of the discussion. The numbers are. Outside of 3 feet isn't the 3 point line. That's much further.

4:33 The reason for that is because those of us that were actually around, can understand why they won 6. There were no fingerpointing (blaming other players), no jumping from team to team, no demanding trades, and no excuses. When it came crunch time, they looked to Jordan to figure something out, and they only found a ways to win. 8:28 Everyone talks about how Jordan retired the first time because his father passed. Though that had A LOT to do with it, it wasn't the only reason. He was planning on retiring soon even before his father passed. Even after his father passed, he went to Phil. Told him that if he can come up with a challenge that he hasn't achieved yet, he'll stick around. Phil couldn't come up with one, so Jordan retired. It wasn't that his love for basketball disappeared, he just accomplished everything he set out to do, so he tried moving on. Him coming back to the game was the challenge he needed. To get back into basketball shape and reestablish a winning culture with a different basketball team. 9:44 In a vacuum, you can say that it's impressive to make it to the finals 8 times in a row, but that's not what the argument is. This is a goat comparison. Simply making it to the finals isn't good enough in that discussion. 11:55 Of course Lebron wasn't beating a Warriors team with KD. I mean, he didn't beat them. But, you can definitely figure out a way to beat them. Ask the Spurs before Kawhi got hurt. The Warriors were getting cooked. 13:12 They compare Jordan and Leborn because they were trying to artificially create the energy and atmosophere that was around during Jordan's time with another player. Even though it didn't quite pan out, the comparisons never went away. They did compare MJ and Kobe. They did it quite exhaustively. Most people got sick of hearing about it as a matter of fact. Btw, to clear things up. It definitely wasn't even between them. MJ and Kobe had similar play styles, they were both hyper competitive, and Kobe copied a lot of MJs moves. That's where the comparison stops. Anyone who watched both of their careers play out would know MJ was the greater player. Kobe did NOT achieve as much as Jordan. 14:13 Even though the eastern conference was generally considered the stronger conference, the western conference was 'top heavy' in terms of teams being competitive for a finals appearance. And they all figured out ways to beat each other. For example, The Jazz went to the Finals 2 years in a row against Jordan. In fact, they were 1 game away from that being 3 years in a row. The Blazers played the Bulls in 1992. A lot of young fans don't understand. They were 2 games from making the finals 3 years in a row. 17:54 Not to sound mean, but you're still trying to give out a 2nd place trophy to Lebron. The point is, Jordan dominated MORE once he was fully formed and established in the league. There are very few players who were championship calibre players who haven't won a championship during Lebron's 'reign' 25:45 It's not just about offense, some play defense. It's just easier to score these days due to the rule changes. But there are the Patrick Beverley's of the world that at least put effort on defense. Almost every team loves their players who put effort on defense. They just won't get any attention from the general public.

29:31 How hard is it to break records when no one focused on the 3 pointer before you? I'm not saying Reggie wasn't a great 3 point shooter, I'm saying that not everyone was gunning for the 3 point line like today. You had your 3 point specialists, but it wasn't hopelessly relied on like today. Social media has nothing to do with it. They're taking way more 3's today than back then. 33:30 Is it that Lebron HAS to rest on defense? Or is it because he's trying to stat pad on offense? After all, he helps pick the teams. He should know what he needs. The fact is, he doesn't want to play defense most of the time. 33:58 Hell no it's just not one play where MJ played defense. He showed one play. That's how we all know you don't know what you're talking about in that regard. You're hopping on the 'one play' argument when that wasn't his point. He's simply showing plays that are examples. 36:10 Do you even know what he's trying to argue at this point? You're arguing 'for their position' while he's showing they're near the top of all of NBA history. 36:43 Jordan was elite near the rim, but he was elite away from the rim as well. That's the point he was trying to make. 38:16 You're still missing the point. If you're doing a GOAT comparision, you're going to judge every part of their game. And that stat matters especially when compared to a player that's elite around the basket and away from the basket. 40:46 Not everyone votes. But it's more than 100 people who vote. 42:32 It's not about MJ being invincible. It's about MJ working on every aspect of his game.

Lebron is great though, no hate. Your arguments though (whew). You obviously someone who has a lot to learn about the game, but want to have an opinion. As soon as a point is made that you don't understand, you scream 'bias'. And you say it all while being ignorant to what happened throughout basketball history. That's being hypocritical. This is why I love watching these MJ reactions. He's widely considered the greatest of all time (he's certainly the best player I've ever seen). If people are half the lovers of basketball that they try to make themselves out to be, you would figure they would at least study the history ofthe game enough to understand what makes great players great. But they can't even answer to things that should be common knowledge. That's why a lot of people don't take their opinions seriously. All while they're left frustrated to how 'old' people react to them. We all know how good the current players are. Not speaking for ALL 'old' fans because some of them piss me off as well. But we also understand when something is missing. And you'd be surprised how great some of these players can be if someone held them to a standard instead of making excuses for them at EVERY failure. At some point, you came up short, so there should be no comparison.

Some of your excuses make little sense, "Lbj is a forward so that excuses him from being any good at jump-shooting and free throw shooting"----"I feel like Lebron is great at everything too". There are bigger players than Lbj that shoot better than him, so that reasoning leaves a lot of logic to be desired. Hakeem shot 46% from outside of 3ft, Karl Malone shot 42% from outside of 3ft, Joel Embiid shoots 47% from outside of 3ft...etc.

LeBron lazy defense started showing up when he was still in his 20's when he came back to Cleveland. Remember the last time he made a defensive team he was on Miami. MJ was still making defensive FIRST teams into his thirties. His final one being at 35 while also leading the league in scoring. So your "You showing old LeBron against Prime MJ" doesn't fly here. We can create entire highlight reels of LeBron standing on the other side of the court watching his team play 4 v 5 on defense. It irks me everytime I hear people defend his effort on defense. This ain't football. You put in that work on both ends. MJ has either the highest or one if the highest usage rates in NBA history and he was still putting in the work on defense.

@@DARReacts my bad. The defensive effort part tends to rile me up. I usually get more scathing about this because it's important to me in this debate. It's all about effort and we've seen that when LeBron puts in that effort on defense he's amazing. Lack of effort is the only explanation when you see such a drastic shift without a major injury. I've always said on this topic there is a difference between trying and failing and failing because you didn't try. Trying doesn't guarantee success. MJ was beat plenty of times. Ray Lewis was run over plenty of times. You can't always block every shot you try to defend but you always fail to block the shot you didn't try to defend. Knowing how much of a freak athlete LeBron is makes watching him not try on defense so disappointing.

You lost me when you said “isn’t Bron good at everything?” I like your work and will keep watching the videos. You definitely need to watch again (don’t take it personal) but your emotionally invested, your body language says as much. You said he’s not showing Lebron prime clips when we saw him make a career highlight defensive play and towards the end of the video you moaned they wernt showing early Lebron clips and I agree the clips were HEAVILY biased in Jordan’s favour but if you ignore the clips and listen to the stats and arguments the clips mean nothing. You say the same at the end when you say he hasn’t shown Jordan missing, but he’s literally just told you his clutch shooting is 50% so it’s obvious he misses. He just doesn’t miss anywhere as much as Lebron. Maybe the most important point you make throughout is that Lebron is a small forward so naturally his shooting isn’t as good. My question then is can a small forward (who are generally gona have a poor shooting percentage outside of 3 feet) be the GOAT as Basketball is all about shooting! I agree I would love to see MJ Kobe comparison and can never understand why people pass over Kobe when talking about Lebron. For me there’s not much in it between the two.

Hey what’s up man just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your reaction. One thing that I would like you to consider as you kept pausing the video and trying to make the point that LeBron played teams that kept going back to the finals you have to consider that there hasn’t been much parity for many years in today’s era because everybody is trying to gang up on one team. Back then superstars were spread out a bit more so you didn’t have the same team with the exception of maybe the bulls or the Celtics or the 80s Lakers that were getting back to the finals point being that there was a bit more parity than there is now.

You say you are a KD fan, but it seems as if you are butt-HURT by what he is saying about LBJ. Going to the playoffs means nothing. MJ won 6 while Lebron LOST 6. He is 22-33 in the finals. If he's supposed to be the GOAT, then he should have more victories. He cannot even get two in a row. Let's also not forget the fact that MJ averaged 40-plus in six different playoff series (1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993). Remember, this was in an era where they allowed hand-checking and posting in the paint. I was with you in the beginning, but then you started to sound like an MJ critic. You stop the video and are trying to make excuses for LBJ's shortcomings. Are you really trying to knock his competition? Only youngsters that don't know NBA history do that . The UTAH JAZZ went in 1997 and 1998. That is COMMON knowledge. If not for MJ, they would have TWO rings. You also forget how PHYSICAL the game was back then. Golden State would have gotten beaten up by the Jazz. The Sonics had Gary "The Glove" Payton. He would be stealing left and right. You also tend contradict yourself when saying you cannot compare eras. You are saying that Lebron faced teams that kept going back. What you forget is that the game is a LOT softer now. Also, everybody is shooting threes. Back then, it was a BIG MAN's game down in the paint. Jordan STILL dunked on every premier center in the league. Now you give him space to work? He would be slashing all the time dunking on everybody. He would drop 40 every night. Klay would be getting handled. "They wasn't even playing defense on him in his 40s!" - Um, tell that to people like ARTEST, T-MAC, MARION, ROSE, PIERCE, etc. He gave them each 30 - 40.

Please go back and listen to your commentary on this video. What you will notice is that all of your comments about this video being biased refer to the clips that are shown. This video is about the comparison of numbers and performance. The clips are just to illustrate the points being made by the Danger Productions commentator. The clips have literally NOTHING to do with the discussion. The few times you actually mentioned points that speak to a actual analysis of the two careers, you were actually talking over the video that was explaining why your logic is flawed. This may be the weakest reaction to this video that I have seen from an analytical perspective. I too love me some Kobe, by the way. However, as a piece of homework, you should pull Kobe’s stats from his MVP season. Compare them to Mike’s stats from his ROOKIE season. Back in the 90s they were not shooting three pointers the way they are now they had three point specialist that shot three-pointers and those players didn’t even shoot as many as they do now so as the guy said Jordan wasn’t good or bad he was just average because no one shot a lot of three-pointers not even the players that were known for shooting three players

It's not fair to not include his first 7 years... (looks at MJ reel... um...). It's not fair if the other team only went to the finals once (looks at that 50% of the Bulls competitors went consecutive years). It's not fair if LeBron is older (already knows how old MJ was when he retired). It's not fair if LeBron quits, quits on defense, is a bad shooter, bad free throw shooter, and wins less. Hmm... okay... so educate my old brain... what actually makes someone a good basketball player if it's not offense, defense, winning, being the MVP/ literally the number 1 player, efficiency, elevating your team to a juggernaut, and best stats? I guess my super old brain just doesn't "get it" LOL. I'm "biased" - school me.

biased? how? its cold hard numbers.. that's crazy. i believe in facts. others like to believe in shyt made up in their own minds.. I hated Jordan more than any other player EVER, because he SHYTTED on the knicks every single time.. and the Knicks had the MOST PHYSICAL defense in the 90s.. BAR NONE.. a case could be made they were even MORE PHYSICAL than the Bad Boy Pistons (I will say the Pistons were DIRTIER) AND JORDAN even passed them eventually.. when he was STILL YOUNG.. Kevin Durant FOLDED against the Celtics "Physical" defense this last year.. yea, its DEFINITELY dumb to compare eras.

Man u don't even listen to the info you pause and start arguing.. And even when you complete the information, info based on stats and facts you just say NO or talk about one or two shots to make lebron the 20% guy a clutch player.. Then pause gain and bring kobe.. Then facts numbers stats eyes all are shit because it's made by a Jordan's fan Jeeezus if you were not a Kevin durant fan I would have said you are a lebronsexual 😂😂

Yeah MJ was on the rim......also best mid range game ever....you probably missed those highlights because you were too busy talking instead of listening. Funny that you keep talking about Lebron's clips being post 2010.....that was a long long time ago.....when he was supposedly in his prime.

I think your missing the point, Bron quits on defense, even when Jordan was on the Wizards he was a good defender. To be the goat you need to be consistent and as you said may times in this video, old Bron was good, but now Bron quits. Jordan never quit even when he was 40 years old and not as good as he used to be.

Ummm well your take was very interesting to say the least 🤣 i think you need to first understand the contexts of which the commentator is explaining their differences rather than getting strung up on the clips being played. Also, a lot of the clips he was playing of MJ was in his second retirement at the age of almost 37! And he didn't manage his minutes and still played with the same intensity on defense... 🤣🤷‍♂️

How many times did the Lakers make it to the Finals in the time MJ was playing?? I think you should do your history fact check before you start claiming that teams MJ faced hadn't made it to the Finals on multiple occasions. Smh, you young cats talk too much during and over the top of the video that no one can fairly access what points the Narrator is making. Besides the Category is about "Winning" and who cares how many times you make it to the Finals when you don't win them? Stay on topic....the Category is WINNING🏀🏀

I am going to throw a bit of a curve ball at you with the 10 player thing. I will give you my all time 10 players I would have on my team. 1. Michael Jordan 2. Earvin "Magic" Johnson 3. Kobe Bryant 4.Larry Bird 5. Kareem Abdul Jabbar Those are my starters and they would dominate most any era. The remaining 5 players for my bench are as follows. 6. Karl Malone 7. Shaquille O'Niell 8. Bill Russell 9. Wilt Chamberlain 10. John Stockton Thanks for allowing my to share these names with you and the other commenters, I am an old man who has seen the NBA go from near bankruptcy, to a world wide game. Magic and Bird brought the league to prime time and also gave us the Sunday double header games that NBC had for years, to what Michael Jordan did to bring basketball to a worldwide stage. People in other countries who did not know much about the NBA did know who Michael Jordan was, and in turn learned about Magic, Bird, Kobe, LBJ and others. To try and compare MJ to LBJ is a bit ludicrous now comparing Kobe to LBJ is another no starter because Kobe was and sill is 3x the player the LBJ is. Just my opinion on that. I saw MJ and Kobe both live and they were very similar. They both had the killer instincts, were demons on defense, and could and did take over games in their careers. It was amazing to watch it as it happened. Any and all highlights and low lights of anyone's career can make a player look like what you want them to be, but I can assure you that even though I am an old school fan, I will give LBJ, KD, and the others of this era their props but in my opinion they are not in the same league as those on my team. Thanks you very much for your reaction to "The Best Goat Comparison" video. I will leave you with a comment attributed to the late Walter Payton who said, "When you are good you tell everyone, when you are great everyone tells you." MJ has not ever said he was the GOAT whereas LBJ has, and KD has said MJ is his GOAT, just for the record.
