She didn't change her mind. She just recognized there wasn't anything she could do about it. At least she was reasonable enough to see that and still keep in contact with him. Most JWs wouldn't.

Yeah man. As a young guy from the hood, KG really made something out of his life. Also, the fact that he is so humble off of the court, which is totally unbelievable to me given I have only seen KG highlights on KZbin, speaks volumes about the legacy he has left behind which we will definitely see in the docu.

From a long time Spurs fan, I have a huge respect for KG. Those battles with Tim Duncan on the court but specially how KG said good things about TD after retiring. You see a tough guy look in KG but deep inside, the guy is all sweet. Bless you KG!

All I know is I have only known Kevin Garnett for being one of the best defensive players of our time up until this point. He came across as a very humble, & down to earth guy, everything about it just felt genuine.

This is probably the best interview I've ever seen on Kimble. I don't usually read many biographies of people, but I might have to check his out. (Got curious & looked it up) Turns out he had one come out back in 2015 & I see nothing but high ratings for it. I have no doubt it'll one day be made into a movie. They could easily make a great one with just the details he's given here

Yeah. Unfortunately for me, my JW parents had plenty of time to interfere in my life. They found out I'd been winning every event in which I competed in track while they were going door to door. The person thought they'd be proud of me. Instead they went straight to the school and told them they were removing me from the team and I wasn't allowed to play any sports at all. Never even cared about talking to me.

Well I can certainly understand any parent who wants their child to focus on more than athlectic dreams. Any player, no matter the skill level or untapped potential, is a bad injury away from losing that path to their future. You always want a backup plan.

Unfortunately it happens to many great players. Being a franchise player is great but some gets stuck in a subpar team that doesn't have good long term plans. Some feel Christian Laettner couldn't make it after Duke but I think was from being stuck on a struggling team.
