A verdict has been reached in trial of the killing of Ahmaud Arbery.
Travis McMichael found guilty on all charges, Greg McMichael and Roddie Bryan found guilty of felony murder.
Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed on Feb. 23, 2020. Cellphone video leaked to the public showed two armed white men in a truck approaching the 25-year-old Black man as he runs down the road. One of the men, later identified as Travis McMichael, and Arbery struggle over McMichael's shotgun before Arbery is shot and collapses.
Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and William "Roddy" Bryan, who recorded the video, were all on trial together for murder and other charges.

LOL - funniest thing is that if Gough hadn't released the video to the public the whole case may have remained under the rug where LE and the exDA swept it. Wish the media asked him if he regretted releasing the video or if the money he earned made up for any regret. RIP Ahmaud Arbery

A defense attorney has no actual obligation to get you an acquittal just so you know. If a defense attorney knows their client is guilty all they have to do is make sure their client gets a fair trial. Most defense attorneys "lose" their cases since most cases that get brought to court are already open and shut. In fact in most cases the defense itself will plead guilty if guilt is obvious. Prosecutors generally don't bring cases to trial if they know they can't win with like 90% certainty. It was up to the defendants to decide if his legal representation was good enough. Since they didn't complain so far they accepted it.

There was multiple months delay in the state even indicting the three men for Ahmaud’s death, and the former DA was indicted trying to protect these same men charged with Ahmaud’s death. It was really in response to national and local activism, the local outcry, the video link, and CNN’s coverage who also focused on those in the community - *which is why there was an indictment and a trial* . You also had a judged that recognized the defense was engaged in an intentional racial discrimination in the composition in the selection of that jury, and he did not give into that defense attorney where he thought his comments about b.... pastors was reprehensible.

With all due respect, I don’t think you understand the nuances of the trial. The reasons they mention the toenails were specifically to show that Ahmaud Arbery wasn’t an avid runner and jogger. Because if he was a runner/jogger then he would’ve had short toenails because long toenails will cause pain when running a lot of the time. That doesn’t mean that he didn’t ever run and jog, it just means that he didn’t do it very much. At least that’s what they are presenting their case based on. It’s just so crazy to me that the regular media won’t at least list us as a reason that the lawyer made this comment.

@@iMatti00 I'm not sure they had to expand on the toenail comment by describing them as dirty, but it is what it is. Seems a bit much to me. I do have a question for you though, if you happen to know... Do the attorneys for each of the three defendants strategize together, with consideration for the three as a group, or do they only concern themselves with the outcome of their own client? I know they were all considered a party to the same crime, and each played a role, but if Mr. Bryan had no knowledge that Travis could/would potentially shoot Ahmaud, does he still get no wiggle room? Apparently not, but I wondered if there may have been a different way to play this. No sympathy here, just wondering.

That's cause they never had a case! By law they can't claim self defense. By law they can't claim citizens arrest. What do you have left? Absolutely nothing. But in this country, if a defendant doesn't want to plead guilty for any crime , the defendant has a right to a trial and a right to a defense attorney. No matter if they have no case, they HAVE to be given their day in court and a defense attorney. It's the constitution. So literally they all knew their clients were getting convicted.

@@scottshannon2335 the rittenhouse trial and this trial can not be compared AT ALL. They are both vastly different in the evidence presented, the aggravating factors, and the factors that led up to the incidents. Just because at first glance of the video, some might interpret it as ahmaud is trying to attack him, but once you delve deeper, you consider the factors that he was chased by three angry old white men in two trucks screaming at him, saying “im gonna blow your head off, trying to run him off the road, and trapping him, with travis jumping out of the car and approaching him with his gun pointed, ahmaud went into fight or flight, with flight not being an option, he had to FIGHT to save his life. Unfortunately, he was murdered for doing absolutely nothing wrong. The fact that you are trying to base your opinion solely off of your interpretation of the video shows you are not informed enough to be making an opinion on this trial, and probably not even rittenhouse’s (which, despite anyones opinion, the judge did in fact show bias multiple times). The case was sitting on the 3rd DA's desk when it went viral after the 2nd DA had recused himself, and the defense lawyer released it to stop the rumors. Instead the media chopped the video, and released it with the rumors as the story. I don't necessarily think the men were right although in Gerogia if the judge hadn't altered the law at the last second it would have been legal. That said the actual case was a far cry from the original story that aired on the news.

Remember that the law is an old law that basically allowed slave owners to chase slaves. In this case you have two trucks chasing a young black male through a neighborhood. He’s running for his life. He can only do that for so long at some point he’s got to react to try to protect himself, especially when one man in the back got a handgun the other one got a shotgun drawn. All he can do is try to protect himself, try to get the gun away, confront the guy or else he’s going to be shot in the back.

It's not the defense attorney's job to decide which clients are guilty or not. That's the gov't's job. The attorney's job is to zealously represent his client. What would be the point of having a defense if the defense didn't defend people they thought might be guilty? Should we just bypass the entire trial jury thing and toss everyone in jail? If every person isn't afforded a zealous defense, eventually no one is going to get a zealous defense, and a whole whole lot of folks are gonna end up unjustly imprisoned.

Yeah but why go after pastors. lol Why not do your job and focus on giving your client a fair trial by having a theory, going after witnesses, and showing evidence that would be sympathetic to your client for the jury. Stop focusing on b.pastors that have absolutely no relevance to this case. Attorneys have an obligation to understand the facts and the law because the Supreme Court says everyone deserves a fair trial which is something everyone is entitled to. The fact that ‘b.pastors’ are present, or even the protestors outside, expressing prayer or some in a vigil or anything else, would deny a client a fair trial is false. Focus on the fact that your client didn't see a gun, he didn't know that Travis had a gun and he didn't know that Greg had a rifle. duuhhhh Sure he was in that vehicle, and it proves that he was part of them all trying to stop Arbery which he probably loses the benefit of what he knew was going to happen, or didn't know. But stick with the facts and leave the public out of it cause you have no where else to go.

The Defense thought that having 11 whites and one black on the jury would be to their advantage. I commend the jury for seeing the TRUTH and for having to sit through the disgusting shenanigans this defense team pulled. And there isn't a better judge in the world in my book. Or prosecutor. Both are stellar.

That's basically what I've been saying all along, that unless Kevin Gough is working pro bono, William Roddie Bryan is getting swindled.

TRUE, THAT WHEN HIS PARENTS GO HOME, THEIR SON STILL WON'T BE THERE, BUT IN THE SAME MANNER, WHEN GREGORY, TRAVIS AND RODDIE'S WIFES AND KIDS GET HOME, THEY WON'T BE THERE EITHER!! JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED

So let me get this straight... He was so afraid of the protesting, marching, and prayer groups that he decides to do a interview so close to the very thing he's afraid of? I distinctly hear chanting in the background, yet he stands there ever so comfortable to give a five minute interview 😏. If talking in contradicting circles were a defense attorney smh.
