Just when I think your interviews can’t get any better, you top yourself Jay Shetty! I’ve enjoyed Kevin Hart for years, now I have such a deep respect for him and his journey. If I ever have the chance to sit and talk with one of both of you, I would describe how meaningful this interview was for me. From being present in life and as a parent, to forgiveness, teamwork (a major aha moment for me), and thinking critically (which I talk to my son about all the time). You really brought it today! I can’t wait to purchase the audible. Thank you so much! Blessings!

I can relate SOOOO much to the thinking you're manipulating others but ultimately cheating yourself. Teachers, parents and friends being pleased with you based on something you haven't ACTUALLY done but being satisfied and self congratulating yourself for 'pulling the wool over their eyes' instead of just doing the thing. Not doing the homework but recalling just enough info to convince them otherwise... being late to meeting friends but being satisfied that they waited for you and making them smile/laugh by immediately ingratiating yourself... Long term its horrible you never develop the concept of hard work or the importance of valuing others time. That piece of homework or the punctuality of that catch up by itself wasn't that important but it's the pattern that forms by getting VALUE by NOT actually doing what you were supposed to.

Nothing is done by one individual. Exactly. This is why I've always found issues with terms like "self-made man" or even "self-sufficiency". Work on a farm and you'll see just how reliant you become on neighbours and mentors. Nothing is done in a vacuum where you are all of the necessary components: creator, manufacturer, builder, etc. Great interview; I have a lot of respect for Kevin Hart and his explorative mindset. Obviously nobody is perfect and that's really refreshing to think of too.

The lesson that stuck with me and that I've had trouble implementing in one area of my life is : "Put in the prep work necessary to your success". The funny thing is that I've been able to use this lesson many times in my life and it's allowed me to do a lot of things that have surprised many on multiple occasions. Determination and persistance are important fondamental building blocks to anyones success. Today I'll add : fore sight and depth of vision to that list as well. Thank you so much to your team and you Jay for this content. I definitely needed to see this today, thank you!!!

So much gold around the 20-24 minute mark. I realized this growing up, my parents and grandparents never really taught us anything and that at first was frustrating. My grandad was a skilled builder for example and refused to teach us. I recently spoke with him because he may go any day now. I said "thank you for your examples of what not to do" I have told my mother this too, their examples of how not to live life, have been incredibly powerful. What is unsaid, and unintentional has been such a north star in my life. Loving this Episode Jay- Kevin is amazing, he has learned a lot of wisdom in the past decade.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but is very advisable you make use of a professional like I did. If you get the facts about saving and investing and follow through with an intelligent plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your money.

I've loved Kevin since he first started his career. I was writing screenplays then, including one which was very important to me, in which there was a character who was very wounded and became psychotic. When I told a friend I would like to have Kevin play that part, she laughed at me. But I knew that had a capacity for drama, and am happy he has added that to his repertoire.

The point he made about team effort resonates so much. I always feel like those people that say I did everything on my own I worked alone for. What I have, like bro. Theres no way, no way, you didn't get help along the way

loved hearing him talk about this. Didn't know he had a near death experience and that he wrote about it! excited to listen to it and loved your Budda quote about the flower and "liking it you pluck it but if you love it you water it daily" that is a new one for me that hit me hard!

What an incredible interview with Kevin Hart. I love that he was able to talk about who he is as a human because all I’ve known is the actor. He’s an amazing actor. Very funny and I love watching his movies. This interview was different to see Kevin speak from his heart and talk about his personal experiences of his family his father, his children and spouse. Very real conversation. I’m so glad I watched this interview. I have shared it with my adult children since they are fans of Kevin Hart. They too love his movies. Thank you, Jay. As always, you think of your audience and share with us people who can influence the world in a positive way and that’s beautiful. Namaste.🙏🏻

I grew up with an older brother and sister who were alcoholics and/or drug addicts. They were in and out of jail/prison all the time. I always said they were a great BAD example. I didn't want to have to deal with the lives and loss of freedoms they had to. It was a terrific lesson on what NOT to do if you didn't want that type of life. Sadly.....in my senior years, I'm paying the price for it. My family hates me. But....I just find friends instead. ❤️❤️

Inspirational for sure! Always like to hear him speak. I learned this a long time ago.... Anytime you are meeting someone in public, such as inside a home, a retail store, an office building, a lunch or an office meeting, or a restaurant, you should give the person across from you your undivided attention and respect by taking your shades off.

I’m currently reading the Alchemist and just as Kevin said everything comes back full circle. It is crazy to be reading the Alchemist published years ago and now listening to this podcast from a year ago and they are reading and saying the same things. Nothing is a coincidence.

I just finished the audible ! Simply accurate, funny, and straight to the point. Getting introspective with humor is the best! After that I had Rihanna voice singing “I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed Get along with the voices inside of my head “. Anyway, I recommend the audio book !
