Beautiful white lioness, Ischa, died in November at age fourteen from metastatic cancer. (2004-2018). We will never forget you, beautiful girl. Thank you Kevin for giving Ishca a wonderful life. ❤️🦁💕🦁❤️

That's the bond you get from being respectful and treating these magnificent creatures as equal, as brothers and sisters... Kevin sitting in the middle of a pride with cubs running around... You won't see that bond, trust and interaction with a zoo keeper or a circus lion tamer with sticks and whips!...

Watching this after seeing the video of a broken hearted Kevin who had to make the decision to put Ishca down. On the bright side...she had a wonderful life. Kevin treats his cats with nothing but love.....and you could see it as he said goodbye 😢💔

That was a very hard video to watch it, brought back memories of having to make the same decision a couple years ago. He made the right decision, but it is definitely one of the hardest decisions to make for a family member.

Certainly not something one sees everyday: a human being sitting in a pride of lions, all at peace, relaxing, playing, enjoying the day together, and then everyone taking a nice nap together in the shade...absolutely amazing! Only Kevin Richardson, The Lion Whisperer, could accomplish such with a gentle, loving heart towards all of the animals in his care!

It's really amazing, by nature and instinct these are wild animals who have to kill in order to survive, in order to become one of them you must do what Kevin does and that's become part of the pride and still that's very risky because they can be playful and by that I mean they can become playful with Kevin and yet become dangerous because they're big animals and what's playful to them can be harmful to a human, but I have to say that Kevin has a very special bond with them and he knows when to keep a safe distance and give them their space, he's an expert at what he does.

@@M-Rv some qualities that i adore in Kevin are his intelligence, the fact that he's educated and that he's analytical. These qualities are the reason why he's taken pains to lay out clearly why he's survived this long in very close proximity to the lions and when he's been attacked by them the clear reason and series of events in the short time span leading up to the attack. It's very clear that these are thinking and calculating animals. They have their own language and social behaviour and kevin learned both. When you add deep respect and care, this is the result.

Beautiful Ishca. I did watch the video of her passing and cried buckets. I am glad I watched it, difficult as it was, and seeing Kevin making the decision to let her go, and grieving her passing. What an valuable example of a human honoring the relationship and the love that they had, and sharing such a vulnerable experience. By my lights, that takes lots of courage.

One last thought - being very sad about losing Ishca as I just saw the video and commented , there is someone on this thread commenting rude and disrespectful answers to people just asking questions. If you are new to Kevin Richardson and his lions you don’t know EVERYTHING as this person appears to. Just be kind and answer people’s questions as they are not as smart as you profess to be. I can't tell you that but sadly, I have to tell you that Ishca passed away one or two weeks ago due to cancer. They wrote about it on their KZbin-Account and on their Facebook-page, you can google it. Maybe you can find the names of the cubs in Kevins book he once published?

@Abhishek Kunchikor no, this was shot after he took "his" Lions out of this industrie. But at the beginning he was still breading. His idea at the time was to restore a good gene-pool for white Lions are those were inbreed. This was probably the last litter has shortly after he realized that breeding Lions in captivity was not a good idea and he stopped doing it.

Mandie, what an absolutely beautiful video. This just popped up out of the blue on my recommended list. I was not aware of this channel. I'm new to you guys, and did not realize Ishca had cubbies. My favorite animal in the entire world of marvelous animals are 6- to 12-week old lion cubbies -- it doesn't matter what color they are, they never fail to melt my heart while filling it with such joy -- that baby grabbing hold of Ishca's tail -- do you know any adult male lion that would have that much hootzpah? And when they're around seven weeks, the way they walk, they can't of trot (trying to keep up) so they rock back and forth -- why, oh why oh why do people mistreat them, using them for money until they're too big and then dumping either into the hell of a roadside zoo or canned hunting -- even if you guys only saved one lion, totally worth it -- God continue to bless and prosper your efforts in all you do -- big hugs, Patricia
