Was on a transfer flight back in ‘02 or ‘03 I wanna say and end ended up on a flight with a number of wrestlers Devon, Ivory, Test, Hardcore Holly, Justin Credible, I think Earl Hebner and a few others that I unfortunately can’t recall… I was sitting behind Ivory and Test and had no joke, just bought my very first WWE figure, a Kane figure that I still have to this day. I tried to resist bugging any of them but I couldn’t resist the signs. I apologized to Ivory as I asked if I could get an autograph and she was an absolute sweetheart. She signed the back of my figure and then asked if I wanted anyone else’s. My eyes must’ve given away my joy because she passed it around to some of the others, including a surely exhausted Test. I could hear him mildly grumble, but he still signed it; just an all-caps scribbling “TEST” She joked that he was a grouch but that he’s a really nice guy when he’s not folded into a plane, to which I quietly said “I’m 5’6” and ~I~ don’t exactly have a lot of room; I can only imagine what most of you have to go through!” (She laughed and alluded that she’s glad she’s not Undertaker or Big Show) That was the only time so far that I happened upon wrestlers and it’s still a day that I look back on and smile Apparently someone had told a very well intending but also very high energy level flight attendant that it was Ivory’s birthday, which he announced to the whole plane over the intercom system. Ivory wasn’t exactly keen on that being announced but she absolutely took it in good stride… especially when the aforementioned well intending, high energy level flight attendant gifted her what *~ANY~* person wants… an entire master bag of airline peanuts… like the whole bag… with prolly close to 25-30 little handout bags of lightly salted peanuts I swear you could feel the same aura coming off Ivory as a person getting yet *another* unwanted souvenir mug from their aunt’s vacation, but you just smile big and say “thank you” anyway just to get the moment over with sooner I cannot stress this enough, I think it was about 3 seconds after that flight attendant walked away thinking he’d just made Ivory’s day, that she turned back towards me and the other rando next to me and asked “you guys want some peanuts?” “Sure!” **hands over entire large bag of gifted peanuts** And that, internet, is how I met Ivory (and got her and others’ autographs on the back of my Kane action figure) Like a brilliant dumbass I opened the figure when I got home. My logic being that I wanted the figure so why wouldn’t I open it (I did consider leaving it sealed but ultimately I wanted that figure and impulse won the day) Even if I left it sealed the autographs are all on the back of the card so it’s not like it would’ve been a highly displayable piece, but at least 23 yr old me was smart enough to keep the card backer. Not displayable at all, but at least I still have that little momento. Justin Credible was also super super nice (I asked him a couple quick questions while we were waiting to board) Haven’t thought about that day in years… it was a good day

There was a few others like Crash Holly who were lost early as well that were great characters that could have been exceptional in a few more years. With Austin and The Rock leaving and only John Cena, he could have been the guy who could have helped hold it together once some of the old guard started to leave the business for whatever reason.
