Really Excellent Wrist Lesson. The (air wrist drumming develops the top muscles of the hand to lift the stick: I do it at all “levels” and has helped a lot. Doing doubles also helps very much. Thanks for a great lesson!

I worked on my wrists so much that they are now faster than my fingers, and I can play loud ass blasts, especially once I assist the volume with my fingers.

Sorry I'm new on drum thing,can i ask u sir?when u workin on your wrist are u allowed rebound?or only wrists without fingers?so how slow/fast bpm when u start this training?do feel sore on your wrist or arms?thank you sir
@camdendebruin6667

@@ben-tol I start by using only my wrists while playing on a pillow/floor tom, and play as fast and hard as I can, for as long as I can. (Grip the stick in a fist for this part) While doing this, make sure to use the full range of motion in your wrist. It should burn, just as if you were biking very hard. Then repeat this for a while each day. After a week or so you move this to the snare, and use a metronome and slowly increase the speed, while still using only wrists. Eventually start to include your fingers for added power and control. Because I did this, my forearms got very sore, and are now much larger than before, but I can play very loud and don't need samples or triggers.

@@camdendebruin6667 wow what a great information thx a lot sir, oh yeah couple newbie questions,I've been searching on internet and finally found 3 different "how to hold the sticks",french german also american,but im not interested with french grip So,should i use german or american for this training?cuz many channel said that u have to use german and other channel said that american are the best for newbie like me to build a strength,so without any further do i started practice singel,double,paradidle,triplets and flam on 1/16 note with german grip at 90 bpm for 10 minutes, after that i can't feel my both forearms also my wrists lol,is it normal? What grip are u using for this practice?is german grip are useful for this practice? Again sorry for a newbie questions,and thank you sir

@@ben-tol I use all three grips, though mainly American the most, and then french second most. (I use German sometimes, because I also practice marching/classical snare.) I would do both American and French because I use American for my left hand on the snare and french on the ride cymbal/floor toms. I recommend learning both because french has a wide range of motion and can be helpfull when playing loud tom parts. I use american for my two rack toms, and transition to french as I go to my floor toms. The feeling in your arms and wrists is normal, as long as it isn't sharp pain. It should feel sore and hard to move if you want results faster. If you feel short, sharp pain when playing stop immediately until this goes away when you play. Most importantly make sure that your technique is good and that your fingers are touching the stick at all times
