Andy had his first autism meltdown in months last week, and we didn't even know about it because it happened at school... In other news, today was Grandad's birthday, so much cake was eaten and presents given, and Lucy had her braces out.

ABOUT THE CHAPMAN FAMILY
Hello folks and welcome to The Chapman Family! We are Kevin (dad), Anna (mum), Lucy (age 16), Andy (age 14), Amy (age 12) and Dave (around 35 in dog years).

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHAPMAN FAMILY
When Kevin left his full-time job as a Computer Science teacher in July 2017, Anna was trapped in our house by our son Andy, who is autistic and had refused to go to school for 18 months. Our daughters Lucy and Amy and our dog Dave hardly saw him because he was always working to try and solve all our problems! Today we're full-time content creators and Kevin is always at home when the kids get home from school (all our kids!) and Anna has been able to return to university. This channel is the story of my family's ongoing journey as family vloggers! Previously known as lollujo Vlogs and Kevin Chapman.

I had a clear retainer for my top teeth (still had bottom row braces) and I only had to wear it straight for 2 weeks all day and night and then it was only at night adterwards

Wow, Lucy looks so grown up compared to that clip earlier on! 😊 Tell her to make sure she wears that retainer every night basically forever bc the amount of people that had braces as a kid and then the teeth all moved back as adults is pretty high! (I’ve been a dental nurse for 14 years) They look fab! 😁💕 I know how you feel about being unwell and just not 100% for months it seems. My husband and I have felt the same since end of November! Seems to be taking ages for colds to go

Hi Kev I see u mentioned Andy going to bed at his usual time and getting up really earl. I have a little brother with autism and he dose the same thing & he gets his melatonin just before he goes to sleep , when he gets up at 2 we try to put him back to bed but he doesn’t stay there so we went to our gp and they suggested that we put a strip of fairy lights and it hasn’t made him stay in bed all the time but it dose mean when he gets up there is some light ( we let him chose what lights he wanted and he chose stars on a sting that change colours ) I know that no two kids with autism are the same but I just wanted to give u the suggestion.

Mouthy It's very obvious who he's calling a weirdo. Those actual WEIRDOS who go on KZbin and get some WEIRD sort of enjoyment or fascination or humor watching someone have a meltdown. They exist. Look on any video where someone is having a autistic meltdown and you will see a handful of not more than a handful of comments of people who are very clearly there just to see the meltdown. In fact, and you may not be able to now because KZbin is so stupid with comments. But if you go through videos on FatheringAutism's channel where his daughter has any sort of meltdown, or elopes, or anything of the sort there's always these very...disturbed..people who seem fascinated or entertained by it. She will have a meltdown or something and people will comment "for those who are just here for (insert time stamp of meltdown)" or comment how it's somehow funny to them. Those weirdos genuinely do exist. And it's rather disturbing to see. Especially seeing the same handful of people comment across multiple channels like it's some sort of..I don't want to use the word fetish. I don't think that's exactly accurate. But they all have the same weird fascination with it and are amused or entertained by it. And they all comment on the same videos. It's creepy.

eee Andy got naked so he wouldn’t want to record that would he!!! Also, he’s said it the past that if the meltdown becomes to much, Andy is too distressed or he needs to step in then he’s not going to record it is he. Why would he stand there and record his son having a meltdown and not do anything. If you want to watch one of Andy’s meltdown’s then just search for one or just search autism meltdowns.
