Here in New Zealand you get paid for public holidays regardless of if you work on the day - only if you are a full time worker.

Merry Xmas... Kevin it all depends on the Company.. some company don't paid for Holidays... You have to be working on that Holiday to get paid for it... And usually you get paid extra...That here in the USA

The holidays at Christmas has all changed now it used to be that you got paid for Christmas day off so just as normal at holiday day but now you have to book it in shops as a holiday day to be paid for Christmas Day
