The little animation that they played, and then rewinded is a reference to his ultimate in the game which lets him rewind time like 4 seconds. There are subtle references throughout the series that people who have played the game will catch, ts is so peak. Great video

I remember not thinking it was going to be very good aside from animation (because I watched LoL cinematics) and I didn't have much hope for something based on a game that wasn't plot driven. But then I saw the kind of praise it was getting and when I finally checked it out...SOMEHOW, the god-tier animation and visuals wasn't even the best thing about it. No, they had to write some of the best plot, themes, cinematography, soundtrack, and characters I've seen in ANYTHING, animation or otherwise. Arcane is insanely popular but I agree, it STILL isn't hyped enough. I know there are people out there that won't watch it just because it's animated (I have a friend like that) and they're for sure missing out on one of the best things they could ever watch.

50:35 If you notice, all the "Firelights" landed on weapons. Firearms specifically. It would be unreasonable to assume Jinx could manually control every single one of them so she must have set some form of targeting sequence to direct them, and that targeting clearly made them go after people that are armed. And the only ones that survived are Vi (unarmed Brawler), Cait (traded her gun for meds), and Ekko (uses a pipe... axe... thing... instead of a gun) because none of them had a gun and therefore weren't targeted. Personally I think Jinx made it like that on purpose (for Vi and maybe Ekko) because she doesn't actually want to hurt them at this point. Cait was just lucky though. 51:50 After Ekko looks back and forth between the grenade and Jinx for a moment, there is a *Tink* sound like a metal pipe hitting something right before the explosion. Running theory is that Ekko played golf with grenades and ran. Got enough distance to survive but still got blown aside and knocked out briefly, while Jinx (Who was under him and therefore couldn't ran as soon, if she even tried to) was closer and took a much bigger hit from the blast.

51:40 in game, Ekko is an extremely intelligent person that quickly analyzes, learns, and adapts to his fights if they don't go the way he plans. While he hasn't yet learned to time travel at this point of the show to use this knowledge, Ekko is shown always holding a watch on him. The clock's purpose in this fight being a way for him to count the timing of jinx's movements from when he lost this game as kids in his head to time when to change his movements to avoid getting shot like he did when they were kids. The whole sequence being a reference to his later fighting style of "redoing" fights and only needing a few seconds of small adjustments and being able to completely change the outcome.
