Arrgh. Wish I had watched this video before my interview today. Totally botched how to present, as they were totally UX leaning. I tried to learn it all beforehand. Maybe next time? Thanks for this!

Hi Kevin! thanks again for all your hard work and all the help you have given us! I have followed along and I want to include this project in my portfolio. My question is- How can I present my work but also give you credit. I don't feel comfortable saying this was all my idea because it wasn't but the actual data collection/analysis was. So if an interviewer asks me about this is it appropriate to say " Well this is a project that a KZbinr Kevin Liang presented to the public and I conducted my own research to investigate this problem?" Please let us know! Thanks again for all your help!
@zerotoux5 жыл бұрын
Heya!! You can mention that I posed the problem statement (really, the Broward County election), you got some guidance in terms of the methods selection but otherwise, the data collection and analyses were all you! Add some of your own flair in there in case they watch my videos, you don't want everything to be exactly similar :)

You do the second test to see if there are further problems with the ballot or to validate what you learned in the initial test? Also should you always do quantitative and qualitative research for each project you work on?
@zerotoux5 жыл бұрын
I did it to investigate the qualitative problems. It doesn't necessarily validate the quant study (although it did! which is a nice bonus). The quant study was used to see which one did better with no influence, and the qual study is mainly to see how we can design it better. And it depends, sometimes you don't need to!

I thought it was good to learn additionally how to sell, and as a UXR I've changed the copy on our product multiple times that led to higher CTR and conversions. It's all based on knowing your users' pain points :) just learning to wear multiple hats
