Great advice with the wax, I even use it on my outboard prop, and I never have problems with fouling. That fan will be a great addition to the shop. Thanks for sharing, be well my friend.

That’s the first time I’ve heard about waxing the blades. It makes sense to me. Years ago I found a fan that looks exactly like that No the side of the road. It was clogged up with hair. I cleaned it and it has been working fine ever since. They do push out a lot of air. With all the 100 plus temperatures we had this summer it sure came in handy.

What a great thing when I see your post today. Lots of great memories over the years, eh my friend. I have this same fan but it is on a pedestal. That wax tip is great idea. One thing about air is hot air is like trying to push a chain. Cold air has some heft to it and one of the reasons why aircraft like to be using to their advantage. That said, take the fan and flip it so the blades cause a vacuum and push that hot air around to cool it off and makes it easier to move. It will take the air and exchange hot for cold. It sounds wrong but give it a try. The shop looks fully moved into now. The project sure has moved along now. Take care my friend.

I've never bought a Central Machinery tool because I thought they were junk, but that is a nice fan. Maybe I should give that brand a closer look.

What do u do for dust control? I’ve found that while my fan is a must have, it really adds to the dust accumulation too. Have u found a solution for this??

That's a good question I don't know.

You might want to hang your saw blades somewhere else. 😊
