Good interview I appreciate the accuracy and the honesty that these two Brother's laced us with. Inglewood Family and Rolling 60 history are intertwined depending on how far back you go. Most of us knew each other and gave each other passes in different situations in the 70's. I appreciate Keith Stones diplomacy in answering the questions posed to him.

What surprises me the most is that even when the War with the ETGs started, a lot of OG 60s still wanted to work it out and l applaud their effort. And once again you hear that name Hoover and how they were the Original Bad Boys of Crippin. This is a lot of info for someone who’s not from the Land to process but l wouldn’t have it any other way. I even had to go back and watch the Big Cat interview and if you wanna out the pieces of the puzzle together ya need to go back and look at Big Kev’s interviews with Cutes, TS, Nugget, Lil Caesar, Pretty Boy, Big Mump and Monster and they can provide a great perspective on how it went down in South LA back in the day. Baby Smac is bringin the Thunder and Lighting with his questions and l give him a standing ovation for that. I’m also glad to hear from Big KeithStone and get his perspective of how it went down in the 70s. Last thing l love hearing how the Hood United in 74 during Halloween. Guess the old saying is the enemy of my enemy is my ally!!! This would be a great movie! Thank you Slu, Big KeithStone, Baby Smac and the Man Big Kev MAC!!! Peace!!! #Salute!!!!

Seemed that the Brims were more of an extension of the older gangs. Stand your ground, protect the turf. They expanded but it didn’t stick and were pushed back. The Crips were a new phenomenon. Totally different mentality. Expansion minded as opposed to protecting turf. The IFG, within Inglewood were expansive and embraced the new “ruthless” landscape by one upping Crips with bringing gun play into the picture.
@troubleman8058
@troubleman8058 3 жыл бұрын
brims seemed to be like the counter part of the early crips, as far as beeing an umbrella gang with many sets, who were about expansion, only less successfull in the long run. if you look at the elgin interview and the territories that the brims had...they were bigger than the crips or just as big at one point, up until 71-72. they had sets in john muir area, broadway area, harvard park area,bonsallo area, on the eastside (mckinley etc), then they had the jungles and aliso village. crips had eastside westside and compton, but they really just had certain strongholds in those areas. but the crips won most of these territories from the brims and converted or terrorized the local brim sets into extinction.

Everybody keep sayin S.Mac was Hating.. if he was then the punishment was designed in the act and everybody can see it.. But in his defense the The Big homies (Families) who lived close to 75, 76th & 77th We’re older and the younger generation putting in work we’re more from 92 and we lived in the 90s and hundreds in Inglewood .. We were more focused on the r90s 102 Raymons UGC , HTH ,111 and other sets of the rolling hundred crips.. so if they said IFGB was not a factor then that will be clear hate

I was just a little white kid back then, but remember that park shooting well. We lived across from the park on 67th. My dad forbade us to go into the park without them with us, but we did it anyway. Man, I saw a lot of shit back then. I even beat the crap out of a crip member in elementary. Wild times.

As a kid, I wondered why the VNG’z didn’t push their hood up towards CrenShaw, I’ve never seen them on the Aves tough, other than the RFB/DLB off 50th with Mad Moe rolling around that 9th Ave by CrenShaw High but that was the closest Brims on the Aves for 52nd and 48th.

@@KevMacVideos yeah a couple kids on the far end of 7th Ave towards the 50’s turned RFB, me and the others towards 52nd and 54th on 7th stayed neutral but it some 60’s on the Block mostly serving like Spicy Mike and 6th Ave and my Homie across the street from me was from NHB 20’s Baby Spook, then on 8th was a cat named Dot from IFG. 52nd street was a open area LOL
