Thanks for the video Jared! I’m a recovering pornography addicted man. I’m 33 single and never married. Life has been very difficult. I’ve been very alone and nearly committed suicide as life was unbearable. Jesus Christ has healed more times than I can count. He is the only one who understands the depth of torment I’ve endured. Especially with abuse in the past. Today was a difficult day. I’ve literally found my self crying hosanna and in my sorrow the lord has visited me yet again in my affliction and blessed me with the Spirit again. Thanks for this video. With Gods Help I will beat this awful addiction. Thanks.

❤ I am sorry that you have that struggle. So many people have been chained with addiction to porn, including some within my family. I have an unsolicited suggestion you may not need. It is this. When changing a behavior, you need to replace it with another behavior that is acceptable to you. The replacement behavior must fill a need that is being filled by watching porn. I know that seems extremely difficult, but I know it can be done. May our loving Heavenly Father continue to bless you, even if you stumble at times.

My heart goes out to you, brother. This addiction ruined my 27+ year Temple marriage (it led to other things too) and has deep ly affected one of my sons. In most other addictions, a person can avoid certain friends or take legal medications, etc., although that can get out of hand, too. But, we can't run away from our own bodies, can we?! We can't avoid seeing attractive members of the opposite sex, either. I hope you can beat this for good. Forever! God bless you! I am so impressed with your devotion; to your quest to get to a place in your life where you will always feel clean in the presence of the Lord and in the presence of other Saints (who are probably struggling with their own worthiness issues!). I hope you can find a worthy daughter of God and have a beautiful family and both of you endure to the end together! ❤

Only the Penitent Man Shall Pass Elder Bednar once told of being asked to summarize the Book of Mormon in a one-page statement. I think we could do this one better, If we were to reduce this requirement down to a single sentence or phrase as to a theme for the book of Mormon, I think it would be this “and thus, none but the truly penitent are saved”. Which involves preparing to receive the atonement or in other words to repent. …and thus, none but the truly penitent are saved. Alma 42:24 The scriptures do provide us with clues that will be helpful to us if we understand and heed the messages contained therein. There are two other phrases in the Book of Mormon, with similar warnings: 7 Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered. 2 Nephi 2:6-7 Secondly, we read: 43 And again, behold I say unto you that he cannot have faith and hope, save he shall be meek, and lowly of heart. 44 If so, his faith and hope is vain, for none is acceptable before God, save the meek and lowly in heart… Moroni 7:43-44 Again, only the penitent man can pass. As we contemplate this idea that only the penitent man shall pass, the next question that comes to mind is, “Who are the truly penitent? We may turn to the teachings of the Savior as presented in the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican: “Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee” who gave thanks to God that he was not a crook or a lecher, that he fasted twice a week, paid a full tithe, and was very strict in his religious observances. All this was perfectly true. The other man was a tax collector and rather ashamed of some of the things he had done, and instead of thanking God by way of boasting, he only asked God to be merciful to him, a sinner. I think you know how the story ends !!!

Also we need to stop putting up our own barriers on Christ. We can talk and relate to him like others on the earth. We need to stop making our relationship with him like it's a shopping list or make it all like it's just religion. Make it personal.

Thank you for this video! Clean entertainment and media has been on my mind so much recently. I've been thinking about how sneaky the adversary is. He knows the power of a compelling story, great music, etc. And it's so easy for us to justify watching/reading/listening to something that drives the Spirit away because of that. Not to mention that we, generally speaking, have become so desensitized because we're just used to offensive things being thrown into everything and we think we don't have any other options for entertainment. But you're absolutely right - you can feel the Spirit withdraw when He is offended, and we must be willing to do whatever it takes to keep the Spirit with us if we want to be ready for the Second Coming of the Lord. 💗

@nicread2102 I think only part of your comment posted. But it's true! However, in my experience, the more I let go of things that were "no longer worthy of [my] time and energy," as President Nelson put it, the lighter I felt and the more I wanted to continue on that refining path. It felt very freeing to get rid of everything that was weighing me down spiritually, and my confidence before the Lord has increased so much. 💗

I plan on including a quote from talks, and scriptures on the atonement most of next year. I always include the reference where you can find the talk. Bro. Bryce Dunford is teaching a KZbin class. I would love to start a Facebook group to discuss his class and atonement study topics. Anyone interested?

I believe that one need not recognize every instance of the Holy Spirit in order to be ready and willing and actively pursuing a Christ centered life. My experiences with feeling the presence of Spirit are far different than what I hear so many report. In my younger years that bothered me but no longer. I believe that grace ( undeserved favor basically) will carry us to where we need to be if we are trying, if our desires are good, if our heart is clean. Comparison for too long stunted my forward motion. I'm done with that. Maranatha

Hi Jared, It seems to me that I recall somewhere reading that Wilford Woodruff knew "shorthand" whatever that was at that time, maybe that was what he used to record his "vision". Another quick question about Second Coming, I was told that before the Lord returns all missionaries would be brought home and "not go back out again". I question the second part of this thinking it was the interpretation of the person sharing this. Can you find information on this? Thanks, Marilyn Liesmann This is my first time to reach out to you. I enjoy your KZbin postings.

Everyone needs to watch out for Disney. They have totally gone woke and everybody trusts them to be family oriented, but that is not the case anymore. I encourage people to dive deeper into what Disney stands for these days. They don’t seem to have a problem with Drag queens, etc.. Our family stays away from Disney these days and the theme parks and their channel as well.
