Great input. I fish Eufaula and you are tight on the mark regarding locations. Eufaula is huge but can fish small. Lots of dead water and some sketchy areas to run to especially on the south end, Gaines Creek area. Good luck in your next tournament. 👍

Thanks for taking the time to present this. i agree with your opinion about why the fish migrated to the more clear areas. I fish release areas on some of my lakes and do really well at times.

Thanks for the breakdown. I have never fished the lake so it will be helpful if I ever do. All that water and it came down to those few areas. Makes me wonder if a guy stayed in release areas for every tournament how they would do. Maybe use finesse tactics in those areas. The key is having the patience to stay. Not sure I could do it. I think as tournament anglers we are always looking for that secret unpressured area when maybe the best areas are right right close to where the most fish are released especially on fisheries that have what I would call moderate bass populations. So many events are won this way year after year. On great fisheries there are so many fish maybe not as much of an advantage. On moderate/poor fisheries those fish that get removed and moved to weigh-in areas aren’t replaced as quickly. I watched Austin Cranfords video and he ran way away the first day up a river and had a chance at a big bag in the dirtier water but commented he didn’t think he could repeat that for day two. He fishes the lake quite a bit or so it seems from his videos.

I'm going to be there at Lake Eufaula on June 20th and I was wondering if you, as a co-angler, have a chance to practice with a professional or another co-angler??? Can you help with that question- It would be much appreciated, thank you!!!

I think practice should be 2 or 3 weeks before tourney

There's no getting around it - Things like FFS, spot lock, and power poles have changed tournament fishing forever.

The fact that you still will weigh with a non-limit bag says a lot !
