Any proof? I’ve seen first hand that parole is a joke and a parolee gets no consequences for bad behavior. If you wanted to be successful in life , you wouldn’t be getting arrested in the first place. People all have struggles but it starts with the person making a choice.

Also, look at Tim Allen, he was arrested for trying to smuggle cocaine through airports and did a few years in prison - granted to rolled and snitched - and has a successful TV and movie career. The point is that you can't conflate success being solely related to people who haven't been arrested/been in trouble with the police. There are plenty of good people who have criminal records and you have plenty of arseholes who killed, defrauded, robbed and don't have a criminal record. Having a criminal record doesn't mean you are a bad person, but it does make it harder to be successful because the system - which makes its money out of keeping people behind bars - do their best to trip people up.
