Key & Peele

4 жыл бұрын

A man waiting to interview for a job begins to doubt himself after seeing the previous applicant.
About Key & Peele:
Key & Peele showcases the fearless wit of stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the duo takes on everything from "Gremlins 2" to systemic racism. With an array of sketches as wide-reaching as they are cringingly accurate, the pair has created a bevy of classic characters, including Wendell, the players of the East/West Bowl and President Obama's Anger Translator.

I love how this is set in the 1970's but the actual setting of the era is completely irrelevant to the actual skit itself. It's like they just wanted to wear 70s garb. Love it

Not really, job hunting and the interview process was ONLY done in person in those days and you saw your competition. These days you have thousands of applicants and your interview is usually done in a group, or via some virtual meeting room. I don't think this sketch would have hit the same had they set it in the present

@@rowingaway The sketch is set in the 70's and nobody said anything about 2010 ONWARDS, he's referencing that period because that's when the sketch takes place. Sure people went job hunting in person before and after that, he ^ said the sketch wouldn't hit as hard if it were "set in PRESENT DAY"...not before the 70's or 2010 onwards. What about 99 and onwards?? ..the 70's and onwards?...Is 2010 when you were born or something? You should really learn to read a comment accurately before you attack it.
@lcg3092
@lcg3092 Жыл бұрын
@@rowingaway If it was anything other than 2010 onwards the first comment would've been the same, "they did in x time period instead of today just because they wanted to wear the garb", so any time period other then todays is irrelevant. If the sketch would make less sense in a today's setting, then the comment you are replying to still makes sense.

Don't think about stuff like that, let the film take you where ever it goes, follow the ride. It's bad to cultivate this type of habit, to expand your awareness to trivial things, it might feel good or be harmless for a while but in time you'll see it's actually very excessive and unnecessary to many daily and mundane experiences.
