great to have your content and silly skits blessing the hobby! Top mount + brass plate sounds like unreal levels of stiff, genuinely shocked at how well the case handled resonance. I'll also say as someone who has done quite a few plateless builds with different switches, cherries tend to have nice large switch legs such that they sit sturdy in the PCB. On the other end of the spectrum, HMX switches (or at least the handful of variants I've tried) are a pain for half plate or plateless builds, as they pretty much immediately fall off once you flip over the PCB to try to solder them in.

That buzzer is so obnoxious… but in some weird way I kinda like that they include it. Is it a throwback to retro computers I wonder, or just a unique novelty? Thanks for sharing this keyboard with us. Don’t worry, you’ll get the audio sorted soon. Great video as usual, looking forward to the next one!

I'm not sure what's going on with the audio! It doesn't ground when it's far from the desk... But as soon as it gets near, there must be a current leak or something
@Drewdeedoo2 ай бұрын
@@KeyboredI’m all thumbs when it comes to solving these things unfortunately, but from what you described it does sound like a current leak. Wish I could be more helpful to you. Hopefully a better informed viewer can give a better insight and help you troubleshoot your issue. Funny thing is I’ve started experiencing something similar recently but it’s the metal body of my audio amps giving me a sustained shock when I touch it without my slippers on, happened shortly after I built my first alu keyboard and started using it, prob just a coincidence, more likely is that the power outlets for my setup doesn’t have proper grounding

Solid board for work and the case looks so exquisite. Nice setup of three different sound versions. It's almost weird after many years of watching and hearing different builds, the attraction still remains addictive. Mechanical keyboards have arrived long ago to stay.

That buzzer is so not what I'm into, but what a novel idea if you're into really loud boards.

Wait, people HATE mechanical keyboard?!?
@Keybored2 ай бұрын
Hahaha right?!
@GriggsHw2 ай бұрын
Yes, some don't like it because of how it is quite pricey compared to a membrane keyboard, but most dumbasses have the impression of every mechanical keyboard has a clicky switch, thus a noisy POS. Some others simply don't see an advantage or reason, despite having never try a mechanical keyboard of any sort in their life.

I love lugging my class80 into the office when required to. Aside from the obnoxious stuff, the board just smacks. This looks rad with the modules and plateless option, but the buzzer sounds more irritating than the chirp from the class80

More importantly and crucial - can that buzzer be connect to stereo amplifier for more enhanced productivity?

I'd consider buying this if they had a jackhammer addon for office use. Bad jokes aside, I love that form factor. I've been watching that really old series Computer Chronicles, and coincidentally I just saw an episode that featured the Dolch portable computer. It's really neat to see this form factor being resurrected. Super niche, and super cool. Great review, thank you!
