It's great to find your channel again with more Keylab content. I left a comment a while back on a video of the Essential, and this one is also good. The MK3 was a bit disappointing for those of us that have the MK2, but at least your videos look cool. 😄 Hoping for more.

Thank you so much! Your words really make me very happy, I do my best. As for Mk3 I agree on many things but I can tell you that there has been a notable step forward on the keybed that in this useful model has really made a huge step forward. It's a real shame for the CVs and for the pedal inputs that I used a lot in the previous version.

Looking to buy my first controller. Can't decide between this one and the Akai MPK249. I've tried the Arturia cheaper version, Essential MK3 and the keybed felt very spongy/unresponsive. Nice demo btw. Blade runner (1982) soundtrack vibes in that soul of tibet bit.

Thanks for the compliments, I do my best :) So, Akai Mpk 249 and Keylab Essential Mk3 are in two totally different price ranges. So of course I wouldn't compare them, because it's clear that the essential is more "spartan" but it also costs half as much. As for the Keylab Mk3, we are on another construction level. I personally find the keys very comfortable, and the complete integration with Analog Lab and the Daw is fundamental for my daily workflow. Perhaps, even though it is a good controller, Akai has an outdated concept.

Ciao Davide , avendo la Keylab essential 61 volevo chiederti se la versione più costosa è davvero un miglioramento riguardo alla tastiera, perchè la mia è quasi un giocattolo e, usando per lo più un piano digitale pesato, non ho il controllo totale quando faccio scale o arpeggi veloci . Grazie e scusa per il disturbo.

Ciao, nessun disturbo :). Dunque la Keybed sulla Keylab Mk3 è decisamente superiore rispetto alla versione Essential, sono proprio su un altro pianeta. Anche rispetto alla versione Mk2 c'è stato un enorme passo in avanti riguardo la meccanica. Quindi te lo confermo. Tuttavia non sarà mai pari ad una pesata, benché sia comunque di ottima fattura e super suonabile.

@@braveheartbraveheart78 being a master keyboard it naturally needs software or hardware to play. In addition you will need the arturia midi center to configure and update it. But with the purchase it will be included.

They are two very different products, the essential, although an excellent product, is very basic, the Keylab mk3 has a decidedly better keybed, more inputs for pedals, more functions, more controls for the DAW, colour screen, better materials etc..
