I got the lab's intro with my keystep 37. Very impressed, and my cross grade deal for the V is $69. Seems like a no-brainer, but I'll watch your video.

Good to know it comes bundled with Arturia's controllers, a $199 value. The 9 knobs are all the control I need for most sounds, esp. when you've got 7000+ to play with! 😜

Yeah, it's a pretty ridiculous value. I had no idea how cool the software really was.

The Arturia KeyLab Essential keyboard/software combo is one of the best values out there. I too bought the KeyLab keyboard not knowing about Analog Lab 5 being included. It was a very pleasant suprise

Analog Lab is a Godsend….Keylab is AMAZING. I sold my Fantom and I am working with this Maschine and MPC Live 2 exclusively.
@mrz802 жыл бұрын
Note that if you buy a Keylab used, you also get the software. According to Arturia, the license transfers with the sale of the keyboard. When you buy the controller, contact Arturia and give them the serial number of the unit, and they will generate new license codes so you can download Analog Lab. I bought an OG Keylab49 with a defective keybed for $[really really low] and even with buying a replacement keybed from Arturia, given the Analog Lab license I came out ahead.

Is this true for all of the software bundled? ie. the Keylab 88 mkii now comes with Analog Lab V, Piano V, Wurli V, & Vox Continental V
@mrz802 жыл бұрын
@@DuneArchitect I believe so, yes, but you could bounce an email off Arturia support to be sure. Their position is pretty consistently that software licenses sold with hardware are tied to that hardware.

My KeyStep 37 didn't come with this, but it added to my Arturia account a special offer that takes the price down to $70. A Pigments discount too, which looks much more about sound design.
@saintmoz2 жыл бұрын
While pigments is great for sound design, it does come with some awesome presets. Analog lab is more about vintage sounds, pigments is more for modern sounds, at least that's how they are focused.
@FreeBeat2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't think it's ever been bundled with the keystep line, but that's still a great discount! I will definitely have to check out pigments someday, once I learn a little more about sound design haha. Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for posting. Apparently like you, I am new to the synthesizer world, an I truly appreciate informed comments that "come from" a place that is closer to where I am than most content I find on You Tube. Many thanks! But, dude! What's with the hand-held Mike while you are using a keyboard? You really need a microphone arm (Rode has a good one that I use.) I studied piano years ago, and am just getting back into music in the electronic age, but it hurts me to watch you keyboarding with one hand tied behind your back, as it were. 😉

I filmed this video the day after moving into my new studio, before things were even set up for proper filming haha, hence the lack of mic arm at the time.

I'm torn between the Arturia Keylab49 and the M Audio Oxygen 49 Pro.. Which would you recommend? I'm more leaning towards this one just for fact that the software bundled with it is amazing value for money

I'd have to lean towards the Arturia, if just for the software alone.

HI! I have 4431 presets - you have 7427 presets. Did you buy extra presets or is this in the purchased version? There are sliders at the bottom under the knobs. I don't have sliders. Do I have a poor version?

do the controller knobs sync with the software controls (so you dont't need to use the mouse)

A lot of stuff maps in Analog Lab V, if you're using an Arturia Keylab or Keylab Essential controller, but not quite everything. I'd say like 80-90% of things can be done on the keyboard itself, which is pretty solid IMO.

@@FreeBeat Installed it yesterday on my new PC and now it feels better than before. I remember there was some confusing behavior when changing presets - the UI would loose state which preset is set to active, also the main (?) vs studio modes were confusing. Eg. yesterday I couldn't find the way to switch between those modes.
