@human_no8478 ай бұрын
Absolutely, otherwise you're vulnerable to being pulled about by the waves of social pressures and expectations.
@lopeztopia8 ай бұрын
@@jenylass1521 it means that you have to be able to accept the fact that, if you want to be fully confident, there are going to be people that will not like you, or that will disagree with you. Someone who is truly confident is authentic, they don't limit or diminish any part of themselves in order to fit in with what is socially acceptable or celebrated. Therefore, they know that it is impossible to be liked by everyone, so they are aware that they will find one or two individuals that will not like them, and they don't mind. That is why, in order to be confident, you have to be comfortable with disagreeability coming from people in your environment. Hope this helps! ❤
@lindsey65798 ай бұрын
@@jenylass1521 have you ever done a big five personality test? OCEAN? One of the parameters is agreeability (the A in OCEAN). Generally speaking, disagreeable types tend to congregate on the fringes of society, especially if they also score highly in Openness. Being over socialized, in my opinion, is just as bad as being anti social. Highly agreeable people tend to have leaky boundaries, be people pleasers, and change their opinions along with whatever is the status quo, rather than deciding as an individual. Women tend to be more agreeable, on average, than men. As a group, we're more concerned with maintaining social cohesion, and from an evolutionary perspective, that makes sense. I would say that confidence, as an attribute has a slightly masculine affect. Like, anyone can be confident but it's akin to how assertiveness tracks as a Yang quality. If you think of the most confident man (or woman) you know, (s)he's also likely to be disagreeable, willing to ruffle feathers, say no, assert boundaries, be different or individualistic from those around them.

I'm a man, I like to believe I'm "masculine". I'm proud of my muscular physique and frame, I'm proud of my thick facial hair and features, I'm proud of my voice and even dominance in certain situations. But I still find fascinating the female's perspective, I still find it fascinating to learn how is it that you live and everything a man can learn from a woman, despite being "masculine", I may wear makeup during certain occasions, I paint my nails black, wear high heel boots, have an outrageously long skincare routine, get pedis and manis monthly and do a few "feminine" hobbies and self-care habits. But I don't give two fucks! Your content has made me come to term with the duality of my behavior, really thank you for being such an icon.

Recent arrival to the channel. For some reason YT decided to recommend your "ugliness is hurting us" video and I found myself going through the backlog and playing the uploads in succession. There is one part in this video in particular that resonated with me a lot: I fell in love in 2023 after a really long time and got my heart broken because it was an unrequited love type situation, but there is a moment that will *always* stay with me and that I treasure greatly, and it's that feeling of having stayed true to myself throughout the whole thing, a newfound sense of maturity and level-headedness, of poise and dignity. This "island" of peace during that period of heartbreak and emotional turmoil. I feel this is the type of scenario that, moving forward, will become a key element in the way I approach romantic pursuits. Not in a calculated or by the numbers thing, but a kind of muscle memory. A tone, a shade of "desire" if that makes sense. Something I can remember and almost grasp, alongside the knowledge that I don't have to warp my self in the process. I honestly don't think it was pure chance that led me here. Fellow artist signing off (I finished my debut novel recently). You have a new fan.

As a man, I gotta say, sometimes showing less skin and leaving things to the imagination can be sexier. Booty shorts and crop tops are so common nowadays that they don't do anything for me anymore. I've seen tons of female legs and bellies like that, the novelty of it is gone. What does capture my attention though is some high-heel knee boots, A long dress that amplifies their hourglass shape or even a thick turtle-neck (makes me want to hug them).

Unloving behavior against others is not a very effective way to create change. Ever. Love doesn't have to be quiet or meek all the time either. Love can change shape of whatever you need in the moment. You took the adversity and the rejection and you chose to do something about it. But that doesn't make other people's treatment of you to be the thing that changed you into being a more beautiful person, you just chose to be a more beautiful person. Love as a spiritual Force and in general consistently and logically helps people to be better without them experiencing the trauma and mental anguish that a lot of people think makes you stronger. That's a total illusion. You choose to be stronger, more sociable, more charismatic, more beautiful et cetera et cetera. It doesn't matter how awful you were and how deserved the rejection feels. To the eyes of the universe you just tapped into the beauty that was already there. Love isn't always comfortable for everyone

Being seen is not about our appearance, its our vibration. When we are confident, cos we are comfortable being all of ourselves, we become more of ourselves, that is beauty. Vulnerability is beauty, Beauty is in motion. When we women come through adversity, overcome the impossible, do without there being any hope, lost their reason for living then resurrect, this is beauty. Never underestimate growth, evolution, it has nothing to do with the mirror, what is visible and all to do with the Goddess, the Divine you are honouring, the reverence for your completeness. When you respect yourself, pay homage to your passages, growth through the initiations, this is so much more than a physical form could ever express. I think insects are beautiful, gnarled, aged trees, rugged Mountains, the tapestry of clouds, are we not more than flesh and bones? Look for beauty that needs names, for has not been defined, beauty that inspires you to write, paint, sing, make rhythms for, for it has moved you.
