All things fade, and cycle back... Never the same, but the energy is there. It's happened to so many genres of underground music. That's how life goes, it's why appreciating the music we love in the moment is key. Not getting to attached to one way, and always remembering things return and cycle back. Gatekeeping; tho I understand it on a level, it's not really productive. I refuse to become my parents stuck in some utopian reality of a time long passed. @@HonestDepression101

@Queerpunx I respect your comment even tho I still feel the way I do. This is coming from someone who is in their early 40s and has been into DIY punk since I was in my very early teens and has seen the dilution of underground communities and artforms due to to unwanted exposure. The thing that I hate the most is that the people who come in rarely ever stick around. They show up and change things to the point that they will never function the same and then a year (if that) maybe two or three they move on, never caring about the state before the arrived, how they are leaving it or it's future. Mostly never even contributing much of anything but always loudly and proudly claiming that they were a part of it. Black Metal, like HC punk but even more so has been since day one specifically for insular communities. So if your arguing that at the heart of it all this "movement" does not in fact exist for and consists of insular people intent on keeping their thing that way exactly that way then I disagree completely.
