Have you ever seen the real old timey (30s/40s) films of commercial tuna fishing?? They use huge 10-12ft long bamboo poles with no reels and only about 15-20ft of line. And the hooks have no barbs! They just hoist them (15-100lb fish) over their heads and the hook comes right out! Awesome to see if you haven't.

This brings back great memories for me Aaron. Back in the mid 90's I spent a lot of time in the Dry Tortugas fishing yellowtail. Thanks for showing your followers and future followers a small piece of the enigma that commercial fishing industry is. I fished commercially for over ten years out of Stock island lobster. So many hours go into the final results. Some people think that you just get out on the water and ta dah! You catch anything you want to and just as many as you want then go back and sell it for the prices you want. It's one of the hardest jobs in the world. Yes sir I would love to get back out there doing it again just because the ocean is my happy place and I love love love the Job.

As restaurant worker and bartender on the Georgia coast this is one thing customers need to see. "Why is everything so expensive?" Is our most common question. Simple answer is this.....there's alot of work for that fish to make it to your table. Alot. And honestly it's not their fault for not knowing really unless you're in our industry. Awesome vid, really appreciate what you present. Started spearfishing and lobstering as a young teen in the northern keys. Also as a past commercial fisherman it is great what you do and video. One has to truly love the ocean and fishing.

Very cool to see that side of the fishing. Yes most people don't know where the fish comes from. So nice to see that and it's all about ethically sourced renewable resource. And fishing like that shows it.

Great idea for a new video. I really liked seeing that side. Hopefully you can keep doing this kind of fishing. All kinds of boats. Nice that Jose and X let you run with them, lots of fishermen don’t like anyone to see their techniques and systems. At least not on camera. Again, super cool.

Its a good life, clean and honest. You will not get wealthy from it, but you get to be out there in that beauty all the time. They are a dying breed. Love to see them keep the tradition going. Miss it everyday. Used to fish out of those docks and haunt those waters a few moons ago. Thank you for bringing light to it and keep it up! Do a crawfish video on opening day craziness! Stone crab too, lots of potential for a lot of content! As always, you my friend, deliver! Thanks and keep it up!
