Q: How can one be a light to oneself?
Most of us are slaves, either to religious concepts, beliefs and symbols, or to some kind of experience, to institutions and images. One is caught in a routine, which prevents freedom.
How can I understand the depth of myself without understanding how the mind has become dependent? Do you question the way you live your life - why you think this, why you do that, why you have certain reactions? Do you question the whole thing?
Can I differentiate the word from the fact? How can one approach something without any knowledge? How do I actually approach a problem? Can we find out the right way of questioning so that intelligence can arise?

I find it difficult to put into words ideas that I possess when I come at then from a personal viewpoint, I have lots of theories but when I try to apply them from a personal perspective its a very different story. If any of my theories actually worked on my real problems then I wouldn't have those problems, but when I say "I am afraid of...." immediately I am admitting that all my theories haven't solved the problem, and it still exists within me. Recently I've been challenged on this, to talk from the I, to own what I say, and its not so easy. I have sought reality in the idea that together as a people we have the answers, or that together with others I can overcome these troubles, then when I am alone I ignore these troubles, so basically I have projected all the problems in life onto others, seeing myself as an agent for change, but not source of the problem myself, which I am.

The situation of most of the talks looks to me is that all the participants are simply reciting what K has said earlier, as if they are taking oral examination which means that not many took K as a mirror but a textbook and memorized to take the exams. When I see the scientists and psychologists other doctors doing the same, I can imagine K's disappointments and how great K's strength is to withstand all such stresses..... Perhaps the brutal opposing force of disappointments and withstanding strength made him sick.... I would, definitely get sick

Its because of our education since childhood. Even us don't fully see what K is talking about. Only able to grasp an idea of what is fear and all that. If by our own way get rid of all our conditioning then we can truly see the things he talk about as a fact and not an idea....

Exactly, especially the "observer is the observed" one. I cant see it, and so be it. One has to be careful not to idealise what K says, putting aside all their admiration for him in the matter.

It gives a false attention to the individual pushing the individual into ambition instead of love for the new and the understanding of the world (without only endeavouring into things if there is a certain gain and benefit for the individual and/or society on a needs level).
