Among all his short talks, I think this is an important one. Incidentaly, I would like to comment that what makes JK different from others is that he is deliberately avoiding giving a description about life, etc, and is instead trying to point out the facts about it so we can see them directly without thinking about them. And in doing this, words (and images) are actually a hindrance. But they are the only way we can communicate. Here is the dilemma. That is why JK keeps saying we must explore this together, and not simply accept what he is saying, which would be again acting from memory.

This is what we call karma. Actions of Past memories.if One is fully conscious one can act keeping all memories aside and do actions. This is why they say 'freeing yourself from karma is Mukti.

I get the spirit of what he’s saying … from meditation also one gets the sense of awareness…in everyday interactions … The only question I have is : what then helps “maintain the relationship”, if we drop the memory … I.e. keep the connection, and drop the attachment ? Is there something called heart connection with a few select (I.e. friendships, relationships, marriages etc) set of individuals… without attachment Or is attachment ( based on memory) always inherent/ necessary to build and maintain close relationships?? Not sure if am clear with my question…

i have a question.. what kind of action did he mean? is it an action that comes out of nowhere.? but without the past, you cant want/need anything.. therefore no action.. or is it comes from observing something.? hence a reaction response.. without knowledge of past, how can someone response "correctly" instantly to something? is it an impulse? is it an instinct? or maybe he is inferring our innate empathy? (assume everyone have a good nature) just thinking..

In religious terms I’d imagine the answer to your question would be faith. I don’t know I’ve never experienced what k talks about. But it’s real, I believe. I think it’s action and perception as one thing, that’s the miracle about it. Realizing that what we see and the seeing of it fundamentally is one fact, living on that fact. I could be wrong, probably am since grabbing onto that is still a function of the past.
