Par riley be on some shit for real. My dad is from chicago but raised me in miami. About 20 years ago my dad gets cut off on the road by pat riley and pat riley threw my dad the middle finger. Little does pat know my great grandfather in Chicago used to be pay a young tim Hardaway, senior, to mow his long. Maybe tim would of never had enough money for a basketball without my family's support 🤓. Still love pat though

Yeah he doesn’t get nearly enough respect in the all time greats convo cause he played on a shit team most of his career. I think he was just as good as Duncan, but wasn’t surrounded by that all-star cast and legendary coach
@jays09093 жыл бұрын
@@Bonescratcher agreed, and actually I feel he was an ALL around better player than Duncan . Duncan had some higher level strengths but all around it was Garnett .
@Bonescratcher3 жыл бұрын
@@jays0909 totally agreed. But I’ve noticed whenever I say that people freak out and start defending Duncan as if he’s in a totally different league. They were both legendary in their own right but people tend to get blinded by rings while forgetting it’s a team sport
@alopez15713 жыл бұрын
Blasphemy comparing KG to Big Fundamentals: Timmy carried his teams for almost 20 years. Great Post Game, that midrange bank shot was money, he had to be double teamed which made game easier for teammates. KG won a chip being 3rd option.
@Bonescratcher3 жыл бұрын
@@alopez1571 you’re exactly the type of people I was talking about 😂😂 Tim didn’t carry anything bruh. He played on a star studded team his entire career jam packed with future hall of famers and probably the greatest coach that ever lived. Sure he was the best player but that doesn’t mean he carried them. KG played on a garbage team with garbage players and a garbage coach until he was past his prime and teamed up with Pierce and Allen on the Celtics and won a ring. And if you think he was the 3rd option on that team you’re clueless. In those playoffs he averaged the most points, highest fg%, most rebounds, most blocks, and most steals. But sure he was somehow the 3rd option 🤣🤣

The best powerforward Era in the NBA KG DUNCAN RASHEED WEBBER DIRK man watching them go at it was amazing
@JJ-co2pd3 жыл бұрын
Okay, duncan and kg were great…. But sheed, webber and poor mans bird. Man first two are great last three are good at best. Big man era came and went already when these guys were in the league. Duncan will probably be the last true pf to grace the league. Pushing the game outside has limited true post players ability to impact because they don’t spread the court…
@TheRobj02233 жыл бұрын
@@JJ-co2pd how old are you? Because the last 3 were also different in their own way dirk was the BEST FOREIGN BIG MAN SCORER, Webber was an elite athletic big with great passing skill. Rasheed was an all around SCORER from either block, right or left handed and can stretch the floor. And 2 of the last 3 got a chip and was a key player to a championship. Web was robbed and til this day is talked about. You Clearly telling me you didn't see any of these guys in their prime without saying it. A poor man's bird. Every guy on my list are LEGIT 4s. Bird played small forward. Wtf are you really talking about lol. These particular players can easily dominate in this Era because they can post if need be but also stretch the floor and you lose NOTHING on the other end.

While playing AAU with the best basketball high school players in the nation KG moved in the Chicago coach and enrolled into Farragut and formed dynamic duo at that time was the talk of the city...Ronnie Field and KG. I’m from Chicago 54yrs born and raised Rockwell Gardens Projects Westside Black Panther raised, civil rights movement seen all that, VL, BGDN, Black Stone Rangers etc...it’s an honor and a blessing to still be here. To witness the transformation of the City is amazing but hurts at the same time with unnecessary violence that’s destroying our youth. Sports in Chicago is a mechanism for a way out, that’s why KG and many more came here to pursue their dreams. Don’t allow nothing or nobody distract you from your dreams regardless!!! If I can survive the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s, with all of my faculties you can definitely do it as well my Brother. The world is yours💯💯💯

@@jabbarijames696 I feel you sir--and although MOST of what you heard might have some merit--a lot of that is embellished. KG was involved in an altercation at Mauldin High School in SC. There was several people involved and although it did start in some ways from someone spray painting a racial slur--the school in no way tried to single out KG. They just asked some students who they "saw" around and in the melee and he was named. Hell he was 6'6...OF COURSE HE STOOD OUT!! In SC---2 or more students fighting another student is considered "lynching" and a very punishable offense!! Supposedly an agreement was struck that he would leave the school and state. TRUST me--there are far more racist schools in SC & Greenville, SC. And if KG truly wanted a better life--he wouldn't have moved to the part of Chicago where he went to. CHI-town is a beautiful city--but knowing Kevin personally--him and his sister didnt move to the best of situations and living conditions. His mother made the decision to get him away from the influences in SC and in hindsite it was the best thing for him. Garnett was, is, & will forever be known as a great basketball player--but the true award should go to his mother for entrusting those that said they saw greatness in him & she let him go. Kevin may be from SC--but KG was developed in Chicago!! Best thing that could have happened to him on his path to greatness!
