Very interested in that car and so I'm happy to see this video. What I don't like is the tiny display for the speedometer. It may show all you need but it looks cheap, as though they wanted to keep it small. When the car breaky, it makes a very strange sound. Has that to do with the recuperation? To me, this could be annoying, depending on how loud it actually is. As for the transmission, I testdrove the previous Jazz and just couldn't get along with the CVT, butt his seems to be better here. I guess due to the fact that the electric engine is coupled to the transmission and not the petrol enigne, in normal driving mode. All in all a clever car, but the 2 issues remain. Can't wait to try it out.

Hi, nice video. Can you tell me what was the fuel consumption at the end of the drive? And also haw fast is it till 130km/h. I want to change my civic 1.0t for this one and hope I will not lose acceleration and gain better fuel consumption. Tnks
@DVDPlus4 жыл бұрын
You will most likely loose acceleration , why would you want to change the civic 1.0t? it's relatively new car with good fuel consumption .
@bogdancaloianu90534 жыл бұрын
@@DVDPlus for me in a very crowded city like Bucharest the civic does not have a good fuel consumption (on average on only town use it uses 12-13 liters for 100km). As for acceleration, the 1l civic goes to 100 km/h in about 10.6-11 seconds. The jazz by contrast should take only 9.5. I am still waiting for the official price in my country and due the math's to see if I should trade it. That's the only concern I have with the Civic, it's a really nice car, and above everything at it's price tag when it comes to driving feel.
@TheSinotti4 жыл бұрын
@@DVDPlus No. In fact you won't lose acceleration. 0-100 km/h for the Jazz/Fit hybrid is 9.4 sec. Vs. 10.8 sec for the 1.0 T Civic. The torque figure is 253 NM for the Jazz Vs. 200 NM for the Civic. The only thing you sacrifice is a bit of boot and interior space.
@MichaelFlatman4 жыл бұрын
@@TheSinotti surprised at how slow the civic is.. Bit heavy I guess. Jazz will feel quite quick in city with instant torque too. At higher speed though, civic will feel a bit faster, as it has more power, better aerodynamics and higher top speed. Interesting decision really, remember jazz won't be as fun to drive in corners and stuff (designed to be relaxing)

Hi,may I ask this Honda IMMD system, when COLD startup engine start running after preheat engine will shut off to EV mode same like Honda Sport I-DCD hybrid or when cold startup straight away to EV mode ??
@MichaelFlatman4 жыл бұрын
i think it'll run engine, on EV power this car will only probably go 2-3 miles, very short electric range. Bit of a shame really but the petrol engine hopefully warms up fast.

Hybrids aren't selling well in the U.S
@DavidMichaelKalman4 жыл бұрын
@@richracing7420 A lot of people in the U.S. would buy this one, especially in 4WD with the Crosstar trim. The fuel economy is amazing and it would be perfect for dirt road driving a couple of times a year. Hybrids would sell better in the U.S. if there was something affordable and seamless. The older Honda hybrids weren't compelling because you'd have pedal lag, and sluggish overall performance. E:HEV seems to solve that. Not selling the new gen Fit/Jazz in the U.S. is a mistake.

@quinippardo74094 жыл бұрын
@@ae613400 Yes, its not batery EV. Rather than using a conventional transmission, a single fixed-gear ratio creates a direct connection between moving components, resulting in a smoother transfer of torque and a linear feel during acceleration. This format means Honda’s system is more compact than a planetary eCVT typically found in other hybrid vehicles, as well as being more refined. The way it works you can imagine like that as if it was manual gearbox with 6 gears where 1-5 are electric only, gas engine produces electricity for battery and electric motor through motor generator and as you reach highway speeds clutch engages 6th gear and now petrol engine can turn the wheels to help electric motor and generate some electricity using excessive power produced Pluses of this system is that no energy is ever lost for nothing, only conversion loses (which are still can be pretty big), electric motor is super efficient at low speeds and thats where they use it, and petrol is fine for highways and thats where it used as well Minus is that 6th only gear ratio means , well, that its only 6th gear, highway acceleration can be lagging and top speed is very limited. Also sometimes it can rev the engine to high rpm (where it is most efficient for the power produced) but you are not really doing anything (happens when going uphill) so it feels strange, but thats about it. System overall is fascinating, that they managed it all to work with bearable parasite electric loses. All in all Toyota`s hybrid system not as fancy but it is more versatile, it uses planetary gearset and with some magic of rotation speeds can imitate unlimited amount of gears, so if needed petrol engine can be in like 0.235th gear up to 192nd gear ratio and even if battery looses 98% of its capacity it will be still fine, just petrol engine will have to kick in more often, while im not so sure what will happen with honda`s hybrid one as electric motor is more powerful than petrol engine so during hard acceleration it is 50% battery 50% petrol, if battery goes kaput then performance might be reduced. But then again batteries nowadays are fairly reliable.
