This is my experience trying to find people to collaborate with as well. It's frustrating. The elephant in the room is that those kids have like 10 streams on their Soundcloud - 8 by bots and 2 by their mom, but still they're so entitled and the simple idea of paying their duties and grow slowly doesn't even crosses their mind that if someone shows genuine interest in what they're doing they won't even answer because they won't settle for anything less than Metro Booming magically contacting them to make them rich out of nowhere.

They want one of the top 3 producers in the world to knock on there door with a bullhorn. They don't realize it doesn't work like that. You have to build up to that and if someone wants to work with you and you only have 100 followers or 10K followers and no legitimate songs and for free you do it... @@antiunclematter9502 If you have the same expectations that someone that has a name gives you a shot because you want it, than yes, I fully expect you to do the same for someone that hits you up. Everyone keeps refering to "the carreer". WHAT carreer.. look at the small guys blowing up. Its more about innovation, cultural contributions, and personality. Thats the carreer. This kid kyle chose plus 99% of viewers have no shot at a "music" carreer.. the goodness is toooo minimal.... because that died with inbred self cannibalization. You cannot show me 1 original or exciting element in the music or the lyrics or the image here. The carreer is "run a youtube channel and network your ass off and tell STORIES" and that is also getting cannibilized. Instead escape the whole culture and start INVENTING SHIT. Or learn how to tell interesting stories / create interesting scenarios.

totally possible! here is the whole thing translated by AI: In today's music scene, it's all about innovation, not just copying what's already been done. The real success comes from making unique cultural contributions and showcasing your personality. Look at these rising stars who are breaking through without relying on tired formulas. They're proving that a career isn't just about being a musician; it's about telling compelling stories and building a brand that resonates. But even this path is being diluted as everyone jumps on the bandwagon. The truth is, most people dreaming of a music career won't make it big because the market is saturated with lackluster content. There's nothing groundbreaking or exciting anymore. It's time to rethink what it means to have a career in music. Stop chasing trends and start inventing your own path. Learn to craft engaging narratives and create scenarios that captivate. The future belongs to those who dare to break away from the conventional and pioneer something new.

This video highlights a very good point. The condescending “your beats are trash” argument is officially dead. Gary Vee is right: Attention is the greatest commodity. You had to basically catfish this guy to long-term make a track with him. When a producer is starting out, they need to grow their socials and audience BEFORE growing with an artist. When I was producing I failed because of the social credibility and social need. Music doesn’t stand on its own merit. It has to be clean and good, but nobody will hear it without the socials and audience.

You’ll build your taste and standards, and know who you like working with. If you truly love the craft versus just tryna get the clout which is so real in this day and age, you will be open to the right collabs. I get if you seem spammy but it seems other things were on these folks’ minds. Ps I really hope these people see you were tryna work with them. Humble pie.

@@QuinnVicario no way is this THE Jasper 😱. Bro you fire fr im dead ass inspired by your story and what you were dealing with all while trying to push out music. I’m in the same boat but not for a while. Work is about to take over t life since music has been really slow for me so I gotta get into the family life and get this money fr.

Crazy video! Definitely a lesson in being open to all opportunities, something I’ve realised is they rarely come about how you think they will - a few people who aired “Ryo” learned that the hard way 😂 keep up the awesome work dude ✌️

You ain’t lying. I can attest that if I saw this and I just never made a song, I too would be fairly upset 😂 thank you for the love on the video brodie 🔥🔥❤️

Those artists had tunnel vision, looking for the names and forgetting about the opportunity.

The lesson in this video that I feel like a lot of people are not getting out of it is put your ego to the side. I made the same type of mistakes the people who didn't respond made in my early 20's and I'll be paying the price for a long time. It's so easy to think you're wasting your time with people you don't think are as developed as you once you start to get some momentum and you develop this narssistic way of looking at things. You should always remember that no matter who you are you need connections and relationships to make every little step and the realization that changed everything for me that this video reminded me of is that you are NOTHING without the people around you. Good and bad. Good luck to you all!

No one in the world will invest that much time to work with an small/unknown artist.........If you are an unknown artist and somebody sends you nice and well produced beats and wants to work with you for free, you do it. This Jasper dude is an (yet) unknown artist but even after he got some beats he still was on the verge of leaving. No disrespect, but i think this dude did not deserve the chance he got. Happy for him anyways. What do some of these guys think ? That one day scott storch knocks on their door and wants to work for free ? There is so much talent out there, not a single reason to be cocky.
