Back in 2018, no one had imagined that a relatively obscure star from a Southern industry which was not as influential at the national stage as Tamil and Telugu cinema, would go on to sweep the box office, rivalling heavyweights like Simmba and making others like Zero bite the dust, heralding his entry into the pan-India club established by films like Baahubali. Yash certainly personified his name.

@priyapallu95362 жыл бұрын
I think the reason to include romance is:- 1. When he called her entertainment- Probably because he wanted to show others that she is nothing more than entertainment to him, so she will be safe. Anyway mins later he kills the person( forgot name) showing he actually care. Anyway they too understood and used her as bait. 2. His mom was the one who helped him start but he had no one to stop him. She took the role to stop him from being worst. Almost being his second mom. Showing most women are second moms to their husbands. 3. Aadhira was super strong. By the time aadhira attacked Rocky, Rocky had everything he needed. His wife being pregnant would actually stop him from fighting and flee to safe guard her. Killing her there itself would be like pouring fuel in fire. And to kill aadhira he needed that fire. The top 3 being most important points along with others like 4. Even though she was in love with him from chapter 1, still she took time to accept him. It was super cool to see her being hesitant( Probably she was not sure if he is same Rocky after getting the throne). Also the taunts she gave him for calling entertainment showed she was not ready for such comments from him. 5. The respect he had for her in entire movie. Never forced her until she confessed. I think all these were realistic form of love.
@vismaya_mayav10102 жыл бұрын
About the romantic angle....Reena was shown as an arrogant, not easily pleased, stubborn, angry person since the begining. It was these qualities that made rocky like her more. I feel like they wanted to show in the story that for rocky conquering kgf is easier but pleasing reena is not. In kgf 1 reena's charecter progress was ok...in the end she had said that its my ashiq who has gone to kgf, he will definately win but in kgf 2 ...she again goes back to not accepting that she likes rocky, not easily pleased with anything zone....i donno if they were portraying her as playing hard to get or not...but she was impressed with rocky in many instances...and when she found that his mother is the reason he is crazy about power and money and there is no one to stop it now, she thinks only his child can stop him now and decide to accept her feelings for him. But i do feel it was not perfectly executed as when she proposes it feels abrupt and not easy to connect. Overall i think the idea they had was okay but somewhat was faulty when executed. Something was missing.
@vismaya_mayav10102 жыл бұрын
About the entertainment.... He said that sarcastically in frount of her father to blackmail him... Its like saying you better not try to pull out any tricks, your daughter is held captive here... He wanted to be seen as a threat to her by her father... But did not have bad intentions as such.

In India where it is an ocean of commercial films, everyone was so lost in portraying Govt. and police as antagonist, but KGF is probably the first movie in India which is depicting Indian Government in a Grand and powerful manner like never before in Indian cinema, this is the one of the main reasons why the character Ramika sen is terrifying as she is waiting to erase KGF from history as soon as she comes to power and what makes it more haunting is that iconic statement of her character in the beginning and the end of Chapter1 which goes like this: "I am enforcing the army and singing the death warrant of the biggest criminal in India". Now coming back to review of Pratik borade on chapter 1 and 2 I can easily come to a conclusion that he is associating this to the real politics of India as Ramika Sen is a character inspired heavily from our first female prime minister of India, very aggressive and on point, but he sees this in a political way and want to pull it down as he visibly support other parties. let the truth come out, let the people judge. No one should bring ideologies to a commercial movie this deep, cause it will turn to stupidity And the promise to his mother is not the only thing which justifies Rocky's actions, it is clearly said in chapter 1 that her mother only showed that destination but he had to choose his path, but why did he go in the wrong path is justified in his dialogue in chapter 1 when Rocky says " Just for asking a bit of food they hit me, just for asking some place to sleep they kicked me, but this harsh city didn't know that the piece that had fallen on it was a metal and after hitting and beating it constantly, now it has become a sword and a sword knows only one thing..." watch " Pj explained" symbolism video on KGF, that's how u disect a commercial movie, not by bringing political or religious ideologies for own personal benefits. I'm just informing audiences, I commented the same thing in his video, but I'm sure he will delete my comment.

Just came back from the show and it's a fantastic movie!! The visuals, dialogues and screenplay flows were very pliable and doesn't seem to lag anywhere. My only complaints about this movie are limited, but the excessive slow motion scenes and over the top dialogues sometimes made me cringe physically on the theater. Plus Prasanth Neel has a vision to make every single scene look elevated and grandeur??( idk how else to explain it) and sometimes I felt like it's not necessary. So many reviewers forget that cinema was conceived as a medium to entertain unlike say a painting or a sculpture. Over time, cinema has evolved into an art form, and a work of art is always enjoyable. KGF2 was a massive disappointment honestly. Had to skip through 50% of the movie and even then couldn't finish it. Not even gonna talk about the regression in the female lead's character. More than half the movie wastes its time reintroducing the hero again and again, impressing upon us just how "impressive" the hero is. If you need to keep saying it again and again, your hero really isn't that impressive at all. And what's with *spoiler* Adheera being fireproof and being strong enough to singlehandedly hold a bridge together for armored vehicles to pass through? Are firefighters all over the world a joke to you? Vikings were strong and savage but they were humans not coked up monsters (although I must say both Sanjay and Yash did a great job delivering what was given to them, was really impressed by their performances). The writing got so lazy in the next half, it kept focusing more on dramatics than taking the story forward, which was the only thing that kept me hooked in the first movie. If this were a semi-fantasy movie I would have ignored a lot of shit. I'm going to pretend that the story ended at KGF1 because I loved that one.

Baseless and hilarious stunts add to the utterly disappointing story. Is this supposed to be an art or some sort of blood pumping irrational heroism? The grey tone and resounding scenes alone won’t carve an art movie. Rejecting one of the best superhero movies like Bhavesh Joshi and carrying such a fatuous and senseless movie like KGF on shoulders is beyond my understanding and imagination. I even had to skip many of the absurd scenes especially the romantic ones. Tried and Refused, I think this is one of the few cases where I completely disagree with your opinion. Ikr & they get triggered when you say the truth. They're like "You yourself watch Marvel it has action sequences" like is that a comparison? At least Marvel & Bhavesh Joshi classified their movies as superhero category. Wtf is this Rocky bhai?

Honestly, KGF (1 & 2) seemed dragged and hollow. I have watched both the parts twice to be sure I am not overly critical. A summary of the screenplay is as per the following:- 1. A conversation starts between 2-4 characters of the story. Generally not more 2-4 dialogues, out of which the last one (mostly delivered by rocky) is something cheesy or over-the-top. 2. A very long slow motion scene / sequence starts with one of the characters exiting the scene. 3. An over-the-top action sequence with a lot slow motion shots. 4. Next a series of cut-shots happens to "show" something has triggered. 5. Another scene starts with 2-4 characters (where one of them is mostly rocky) 6. Repeat steps 1-5, with steps 3 and 4 being inter changeable depending on the script. I found it hollow and over glorifying a crimal, where the flashback scenes (a bit too often) have been embedded in the story only to create some sort of "sympathy" for the lead or to justify what he is doing.

3:59 when Reena said "Congratulations I love you" people were cheering in the theatre and when she got shot people were like "oh no". She did bring those emotions in people and that it was effective for the movie whereas the villain...In a mass movie you're supposed to hate the villain but "I was not hating Adhira and I did not felt any connection with Adhira". He was like an emotionless alien transformed into human form.

It's about goddamn time the sandalwood industry gets proper national recognition as much as the other south indian industries... our language needs it's recognition and respect For those of u who *STILL* don't know.... it's kannad*A* not kannad... thanks Jammy for pronouncing it properly 😂 Side note : someone needs to tie Farhad samji to a chair and make him watch kgf 1 and 2 and rrr on a loop so that he understands how mass masala movies r properly made... Finally I'm not the only one. I don't get what's so special about this movie...the lead character? The action sequences? The story? They were pretty unrealistic. Marvel made far better "action" movies in the same fictional category. Plus they were classified as "Superhero category" but this one's just illogical. So what's the hype about??

@tarashetty93002 жыл бұрын
Let's be honest kgf 2 is a very bad film. Every scene is over glorification of hero and there are no normal dialogues between characters. Each dialogue is over the top . That background music is so loud you can't even hear dialogues in some places. Story is utter bullshit. The fact that it's a huge hit is worrying.
