Melusine has played out really well over the years. She's one of those investments that you're sure will have staying power, as only recently have we had new unit releases that rival her damage capacity or exceed it. Still with regards to the lancers especially she manages to reign supreme. A lot of her kit is similar to lancelot saber's in some way, but in most cases she has stronger skills by comparison. NP5. I have waited for her arrival on NA for too long. Ofc hoping for the same luck I got on JP might not be realistic (NP2 120 sq 1st banner, NP3 60 sq 2nd banner and NP5 150 sq 3rd banner). I'm just absolutely crazy for my girl now, I'll get my girl to NP5, other units be damned (ofc I would still like to at least get the buster setup so my girl can shine the brightest, but from my experience on JP, absolutely not necessary)

I love how her artist CHOCO basically just brought a redesign of his original character "KOS-MOS" from Xenosaga into FGO and they made her just as ridiculously powerful as the original. Gonna be rolling for NP1 and do the rest later this year, looking forward to all the Percivals ruining my day (even if he himself is great)

Great video. I'd love to add that her 2nd append is amazing when it comes to Lottos or Events. A lot of Lottos and Events give you a 50% CE. With a 50% CE you can start her off in 3rd form in the buster system and cash in on another 30% np damage which then becomes 60% np damage on wave 3. Melusine is easily still the best Lancer in the game 2 years after her release and has forever changed the game. Her NP damage dwarfs all of the other lancers even in their niches. At high investment, you can even clear 90++ nodes even with her counter class (saber) in them. She's as close to a "must roll" as a dps can get if you want to turn your brain off and just press buster np.

Reading your comment I was in dilemma either to Lv120 or app battery her since my NP3 need bond lv 14 to get both, which is way too long. But then I realize, her dmg is still dropping w/ 50 battery CE compare to her synergy w/ BG. In that case, I would just my Godjuna or Gil instead. I've seen some future lotto has servant mob even in w2 & Godjuna could force his anti trait instead. I think her biggest value in the competition is still the synergy w/ BG & other utilities she has. Therefore I think I'll just LV120 instead. Maybe if I was spook in GSSR, I could go to same route as my NP4 Lilynci, to get both max app grail & app battery.

People thought Space Ishtar and Arjuna Alter would be the be all end all and they aren’t. I remember hearing people say Tiamat can out punch Melusine. Which is weird.

Agreed, the lore argument is stupid. There are many servants that should be waaay stronger than they currently are based on lore. That being said I'm really looking forward to her, not sure how many copies I'm gonna roll tho since I have a fully maxed spishtar for farming already... so probably not higher than np2 I guess, but if the rolls go bad I'll settle for np1 cos koyan and oberon are also right around the corner

I find Melu to be a very intereting servant with a cute and appealing design; however, I want to caution people who may be wanting to summon for meta purposes: there are a plethora of f2p and/or easily accessible farming capable servants with high damage. Examples include (and are not exclusive to): Cu Caster, Habetrot, Chen Gong, Taisui, Iyo, Percival, Fionn, Valks (especially summer), among other options. Due to the plethora of farming options, I hope nobody feels as though they HAVE to summon for Melu - summon if you want, but don't force yourself.

Okay, if Melusine doesn´t need Mana Loading and she doesn´t really need Apendix Skill 3, I can assume, that even Appendix Skill 1 isn´t needed, because she would nuke everything with her NP already and does this mean, she would be a Top candidate for the "lvl 120 project", because we can spare the coins?

Shes been a target of mine even before we saw her kit, From design alone I knew it meant I would be rolling for her, her kit being as strong as it is, is of course a bonus but thats never been overly important when rolling for waifu reasons. Would like to get her to np3 for a2 and 120 but given Koyan and Oberon right after, I think np1 here and then going for another 2 copies at the end of the year is a wiser play, even if its going to be tempting.

I think it is also worth noting that in events with 50% CEs, you can use her as a typical 30% charger in the double Koyanskaya and Oberon setup, and start her off in her third ascension to get some more damage (get to benefit from using her third skill twice for more NP dmg) than starting her off in 1st/2nd ascension, since you'd have to give up Black Grail.

Hey what should I do I didnt expect to even dream of getting Melusine but I got really really lucky on both morgan and castoria now I have 1000 sq and 60 tickets on one and 800 sq and 75 tickets on the other I know I got lucky and will probably get shafted but I dont have lancer besides cu and welfare yu but than maybe i can get both oberon and koyan so I don't know what to do would appreciate some suggestions

The plan: hope to help that Oberon and koyan banners overlap so I can roll both, and then save up to roll the highest melu copy I can manage at the end of year. I plan to roll 900 SQ for Melu. At worst i'll get NP1. Ideally i'll score and get 6 copies to max her out. After the hell that is coming up with Vitch and Oberon, I plan to save all my SQ until her next banner in december to get whatever other NP levels I need to make Melu into a demon. @@NevisYsbryd I certainly understand the dilemma. I actually could have sunk my own gold fous into another servant. I have Jalter too who is currently on her way to lvl 120 (need more bond/coins), Spishtar, and many other servants of high quality in my Chaldea like Morgan, Odysseus, Kama, Seiba, Gilgamesh, etc etc. Ultimately I've chosen to go with Melusine because I plan to use her far more extensively than any of the other candidates (with the possible exception of Spishtar and Morgan). In other words, I am prioritizing gameplay over love for the characters. On a related note, if you have not been spoiled on LB6, I won't spoil you. All I will say is that Melusine and *especially* Morgan get much more character development in the parts yet to be released on NA.

Melusine's first banner on JP remains my luckiest ever in FGO, with 3 copies in a single - and my only - multi. As such, she quickly became a mainstay in my roster, and it's been quite addicting watching her nuke everything in her path. I probably will have to wait until December to achieve similar results on Global though. Right now SQ are low and Oberon an Koyan are on the horizon. I'll toss 2-3 multis toward Melusine, but I don't think there's any way in hell I'd get as lucky as in JP. One copy would already be a pretty welcome surprise.

My hope remains to get as many NP levels as luck will allow me. Will throw a ton of quartz at her banner, roll on GSSRs, and keep her December banner in mind. The most quartz I've set aside for any servant. But it will all come down to luck. The more the better since that will just let her be a nearly unstoppable force. May not be about gameplay, but that design is fantastic. Was interested enough to get those CHOCO art books and there are fantastic details in there. It doesn't hurt that she's still got a really interesting gameplay design. The double NP is fun to have and will be interesting to play around. Great design, personality, and will probably be my main farming attacker for a long time.

I get your feeling there. Plan to approach it about the same way. Although you could stretch out the Melusine rolls a bit further taking into account what we'll probably get for the anniversary. Plus there is probably going to be a one day carryover where Melusine and Koyan are available at the same time. Could see how much you need for Koyan, set aside 900 quartz for Oberon to be safe, and see what happens. But no need to be that calculating either XD.

So, after a battle using her 3rd skill, does she revert back to 1st/2nd ascension in a new battle or does she retain her 3rd ascension? This is important as if not, you have to change her ascension after every battle and that is really painful especially in lotto events.

It really depends on what you're doing with her. NP1 is fine for most content with the appropriate support units. She won't be able to do everything, but that's true of every unit. Naturally then higher np levels means more damage and fewer nodes she would have issue with.

NP2 is a 33% damage increase. After that, the bonuses decrease dramatically. This is true for every dps servant, except if they have an NP strengthening. In that case, the increase in only 25%. You get the same jump NP1 to NP2 as you do from NP2 to NP5, but because the increase is additive this is only a 25% damage increase for 3 copies (20% for NP with a strengthening quest). Here is AoE buster multipliers for example (strengthened in parentheses): NP1: 300% (400%) NP2: 400% (500%) NP3: 450% (550%) NP4: 475% (575%) NP5: 500% (600%)

Gonna try for at least 2 while rolling for 5 Percival but depending on how that goes might have to settle for 1. Ether way will try to get 2 more on the next banner. Not sure if I want to go for NP5 on her 3rd banner that we know of because when I comes to limited 5 stars NP5 tends to make life annoying for me during GSSRs since seeing a servant I have NP5 in a pool scares me off since I would be sad to roll them. Depends on your quartz resources and other targets. Melusine will outperform Spishtar, though at that level of investment, probably not enough to matter for most content if you are low in quartz with a lot of other targets coming up soon.

99% of the time Spish is better, with the tangent that you have both Castoria and Oberon. The only nodes that Spish can't do at 6-slot are 1/1/x and Melu doesn't really work against Sabers. So if you're looking for another option, she's a good pick if you have the necessary supports, but if you're looking for something that's better than your NP5 Spish at lowe investment...that doesn't exist. Even if you NP5 Melu, she'll still be inferior to Spish.

I just got Morgan and gave her all my Golden Fous, Beast Footprints, Level 100 and such, I want her to be my main DPS so I was planning on get her to NP2 after Oberon to get more damage for 90++ nodes. But... between that or getting NP1 Melusine, what's more worth? I get that neither Morgan or Melusine can farm those at NP1. Also what's the problem of that? Just time wasting? Do you loose rewards if you don't 3 turn it or something?

90% of dmg buff you get are 3 turn cooldown, so turn 4 you hav non, and when you farm you want it to take as little time as possible therefore 3 turn not more. Technically you only need 1 farmer and other than that you roll for love. There are multiple farmers that will suffice, melusine is bit more forgiving and easy to use

Bruh you can manually set Melu to "fixed" asc instead of changing your overall account settings

all things considered, she is a must summon she's Castoria's opposite in that while Castoria support others to an incredible degree, Melusine carry herself through any difficult battle if not outright nuke it
