One huge reason for Communist victory was because right before WW2 ended, the Soviets launched an offensive against Japan and their puppet Manchuko (Manchuria). The result was victorious for SU, and besides taking northern half of Korean peninsula, South Sakhalin and Kuril Islands, Soviets also occupied Manchuria, and soon after WW2 they gave it to the Chinese communist. This gave CCP a huge boost, since Manchuria was rich with Japanese industry, weapons, and plus additional man power.

In fact after the WW2, the Soviet union supported KMT more and signed a deal with ROC and not allowed CCP troops tookover big citys in Manchuria.

come on, all the biggest cities in northeastern china, which is so called machuria, were handed over to KMT ( including three provinces' capital cities, btw there are only three provinces), it is chinese people who choosed and suppoted communist party to win.

Have you heard of Mr. Huang Xing, he's kind of chief military leader of the revolution while Mr Sun is definitely the spiritual father of the republic idea of China, and the initiator and founder of the party called "Tong Meng Hui of China", the party that later transformed int KMT. So in history China credited Mr Sun as the father of the republic China.

This is an excellent video of the History of China. I have studied this history a lil bit and I can say that this gives a pretty accurate description of the events, it obviously leaves out quite a few details and more emotional aspects, in order to simplify the video, however it's very well made and like so many of Khan Academy's videos a lot easier to understand than History at school ha ha! :)

I think the voice-over narration style and production techniques speaks far more of group intention and orientation than any topic or subject cared to be broached here.So much for the age of populism and collective participation. European Imperialist painters perfected the art of capturing their royal patrons peering from high horses, always downwards on to their subjects. Newer developments have occurred since then, like global mass media organizations, very much like investment banks of recent times also, applying similar techniques to line their own pockets. instead of serving any larger ends
