When I went to Israel, I saw proof of the return of Jews in the 18th century. I thought the origins of the return were some centuries before that. The Arabs in the area were drawn there by the renewed economic opportunities created by the return, over the centuries.

But why is there actual history? It’s weird how you try to mix Jewish lore and history without really differentiating between the two.

I don't fully understand why there were exiled so many times, could someone explain?
@saurondp3 жыл бұрын
The scriptures lay out the reasoning for this as punishment for not following God's commandments.

First was not an exile, they left Canaan to escape famine, so they became slaves in exchange for food in Egypt, then they were led back to the promised land by Moses. Then they refused to give tribute to the Assyria King to their land was occupied by Assyrians that held Jew captives and exiled many; then came Babylonians that took Jews from Canaan to Babylon, they were again resettled in Canaan when Cyrus conquered Babylon; then came Romans, against whom Jews revolted, they got crushed and exiled....
@amandasabo7813 жыл бұрын
Historically this is because Palestine was one of the “crossroads of trade. If you wanted to travel from Europe to Africa you would go through Palestine, from Mesopotamia to Egypt, you would again go through Palestine. This land was almost like the center of the world and was very desirable to those around it, and it continues to be a hotspot for conflict even now. Biblically, it is because when the Hebrews turned from God and idolized other things, God would exile them as both a punishment and a reminder of who is truly the one who saved them. Only when they finally turned back to God were they redeemed from their struggle. Additionally the enemies of God, the world, always attack the people of God. This is evident in today’s events, for example the constant conflict in Israel.

The next video needs to talk about how the Exodus never happened and that the pyramids were built long before there were Hebrew "slaves" to build them.
@doyouevennaturebro45937 жыл бұрын
kwanarchive I doubt he'll get into that. I think he's just discussing the mythologies, not the basis for them.

the story of slaves build the pyramids is a myth dude there no clue anywhere that happen
@Apollo1989V7 жыл бұрын
No where in the Bible does it talk about the Isrealites building the pyramids. It is popular imagination. The beginning of Exodus mentions they were forced to build the Pharaoh's building projects, such as royal cities, temples, and monuments to the Pharaoh.
@reuvenknight15755 жыл бұрын
Dude, everyone knows Jewish slaves didn't build the pyramids, including the Bible. Rameses came so far after the building of the pyramids it invalidates your statement just on the sheer historical ignorance you had to have to make it. It is said in the Bible that they built Pithom and Rameses. If you are going to make an argument at least read the source material. As to basic Egyptian history, you could have read a children's book to learn The Pyramids of Khufu were built over a thousand years before Rameses II was even born.
@stephaniehorn98212 жыл бұрын
@@reuvenknight1575 Bravo. But it did not say that the Hebrews built the city of Rameses. And it does not say that Rameses was the Pharoah of the Exodus. It just says "Pharoah". It is just assumed that Rameses the Great was the Pharoah of the Exodus because it says "...And they set out from Rameses to Sukkoth". That was something that whoever translated it put in, so that we would know where it was that they were setting out from, from what we discovered afterwards. I do agree though that the Israelites were in Egypt so far after the building of the Pyramids that they could not have built them.
