The fight looked to be going one way for most of it, but near the end it got completely turned around! I suppose the winner is one of the most iconic of the first generation of the series for good reason!

Basarios and khezu are both gen 1 but basarios is not a special quest his adult form the gravios is a special quest. I don’t know remember about khezu though. I think he was a special quest too.

They should add him. Without gravios basarios makes no sense since they’re basically juvenile gravios. Either they planning on making a new subspecies secret reveal or they don’t know what they’re doing. Basarios don’t fly they just hatch and keep feeding until they grow into gravioses and shed most of their armor to dedicate more energy on flight.

I didn’t even know Basarios was in this game, and it got murdered by Khezu which obviously has the best battle theme ever…pure silence lol Keep up the great work and I look forward to the tournament fight 😁

Khezu played so well here! it's plan to use light and counter attacks to slowly whittle down such a tanky opponent, such as Basarios, worked like wonders. It took advantage of Basarios' slow and heavy hitting attacks, cancelling them whenever it find an opportunity. It's also worth mentioning the agility Khezu have to dodge some heavy hitting attacks from Basarios. I think we underestimated Khezu and was proven wrong soon later. Our rookie has a clear disadvantage over such a bulky and heavy hitting opponent and let's not forget that it had to rely on predicting its opponent's attack which often failed as he has no vision. Moreover, Basarios' undergound attacks left Khezu vulnerable for guaranteed heavy damages. Overall, I find that Khezu often displayed its frustration at time because some of his attacks don't seem to work but we can't really blame Khezu for it as this is second fight. Looking forward for more fights for our underdog!

I'll be honest. I wasn't expecting much of this fight at all considering I also heavily dislike both of their fights for feeling boring, but I was far more intrigued than I'd like to admit. Also, love that we're getting even more area's to have monsters fight it out.

Wow, I don't know whether it's my memory failing me, but both contestants looked like they were slowed down to like 70-80% speed. Were they always that slow? In any case, I too thought Basarios would have this in the bag, but that one attack from Khezu deals insane damage! Completely turned everything around with that one. Also makes me imagine Khezu could potentially even challenge slightly stronger monsters still

Yeah, they were the speedbumps for noob players (alongside Yian-Kutku, Rathian, etc.). They look like threats at first but they become punching bags later on.

@DragoCubX After watching the elder tier monsters so often it's good to slow things down a notch with a low stake fight between two lesser known monsters.

@@MSSDeathmatch Oh yeah, definitely shouldn't expect the same pace. it's just the wind-up animations for their attacks here seemed longer than what I remembered from fighting them - which probably shows more how often I do that than anything else XD

Basarios could have won easily if he stud closely, and Khezu could have stomped him completly if he stayed at a whider distance. This long range Thunderballs are insane. A hit of a slow Fight, but I like Fights whit less popular Monsters.

@Sunaki1000 the thunder balls definitely give him theedge over some monsters on his own tier, but I feel like his speed will be his downfall against the higher tier monsters.

We have basarios but we never had a gravios in this game despite having both gore and sharagru magala in this game. Which is fine, cuz gravios fights are always frustrating anyways lol

So at the beginning I thought Basarios was gonna stomp him and I stand by that, but oh my god no wonder they are given so many abilities before becoming a Gravios these things are NOT meant for combat by any means. Granted it’s a baby but still. Imagine a Gravios fighting that Khezu tho
