I mean if 2 people are attacking you and you pull out a knife-yes, you're in school, but you're defending yourself and I think if you're outnumbered it's reasonable to be armed in some manner, yeah he's a student so overall it's hella illegal but-from what they're saying he was the one first attacked. If he shouldn't have a knife perhaps the school should have done something bout the two students who made him feel he wasn't safe without a knife, it's literally their job and responsibility to keep kids safe. If they aren't keeping the kid safe, don't get mad when the kids keep themselves safe.

Exactly! This isn't 1985 when our parents were in school. Times are different now. These teachers and school staff should think about why kids bring knives to school for protection with this country going down the toilet as it is. It's a dog eat dog world in our country at this point, regardless if its highschool students who bring protection with them or maybe they should hire more cops to be on campus so stuff like this doesnt happen.

That would only be appropriate if they had reasonable suspicion their life was in danger, like the other kids having brass knuckles or a gun. I mean fighting back was a good choice but using lethal force (knife) wasn’t a good idea, the staff should have been able to prevent it though so they failed. Plus, bringing weapons on a school campus is illegal, but i think the student should be charged with assault and battery, not for attempted manslaughter if those were the charges

Honestly I don’t blame the guy for attacking them with a knife.
