I work at the Hyundai America Technical Center and....uh....actually I should probably not say too much. But they did make a Genesis G70 - sister car to the Stinger - manual. And as many have pointed out, they are essentially the same company nowadays. You're doing a Chevy v. Pontiac showdown. And I am big sad the Kia Borrego never came up.

I inherited a 2014 Azera from my grandfather a couple months ago and I like it decently. It's kitted out with the same V6 as the Genesis coupe, and feels pretty smooth to drive and get up to speed, definitely a nice daily.

And a bit surprised at those high praise for the stinger and geni coup. especially geni is ricer poser mobile in here and dirt cheap like 4 grand. Kia spectra is called cerato euro in here, and some boomers put high cam turbo on it and made 500 hp drag car out of it. It is famous for 'korean civic'. Kia Elan is pretty sick. they bought Elan from the lotus and pretty sick fwd roadster. Every Army officers and old athletic teachers wants Santa cruize but it is only sold in america. but ranger and collorado is available in here. WTF

Kia was bought by Hyundai when they filed for bankruptcy. Ever since Kia has been hand and hand with hyundai although Kia shares many similarities with Hyundai.. they use cheaper parts compared to Hyundai. This is coming from a Kia Parts Manager.

The Elantra N "punches above its weight." It comes in manual. It's a legit track car and Hyundai has 4 touring car trophies with the I30 and Elantra. Don't forget that the Stinger's shift points are also at exactly the speed and RPM combo you'd use to initiate a drift. Example: You put your foot down and get the back to step out, then halfway through the drift the ECU shifts the car up a gear instantly ending your slide, sometimes in a dangerous manner. Hyundai and Kia seem to HATE drifting in their cars and do everything they can to stop it. Example: The Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the ONE legendary car from Hyundai (and the 2.0T shares engine designs and parts with the EVO X) comes from factory with the front tires more narrow than the back, specifically to make the car understeer. Hyundai claims this is a "safety feature".

The last three cars I owned are KIA, I had a Spectra 5 SX, it was a 5 speed 2 litre engine, I then bought a Forte KOUP R Spec, 2.4 litre with 6 speed manual, this Year I bought a Stinger GT. I love all of them great cars for not alot of money.

I used to own a genesis coupe 2.0T and it was a really nice fun car. It was FBO and it sounded really good. The only complaint I have is the amount of rain water that would collect in the trunk and headlights no matter how many times I sealed them

My 2014 Veloster Turbo in manual currently sells for exactly what I paid for it in 2016, and it’s one of two years of the entire Veloster line that’s never had a drivetrain recall. Practical, fun, and since the entire car market is so insane, it actually managed a magic trick on depreciation: it was so cheap, it had no where to fall to in value. The first generation also doesn’t have the fake nismo kit. But I really have liked living with the hatchback, it’s just useful when you need it. Edit: I’ll kms before I buy a Kona. Crossovers are trash, and are an extra trash replacement for hatchbacks.

Had to get rid of my Stinger GT little over a month ago. Had it since new for nearly 3 years, but needed something less thirsty lol (avg 22mpg over it's ~49k miles including many roadtrips). It's the blue one at Tempe Kia if anyone's interested in it, oil changes every 3-4k, plugs done at 35k. Needs new tires though and the driver side backseat had my son's carseat in it since I got it so lowball 'em for that. And I too wish it came in manual. Just know you'll be spending a lot on gas. Lmk if anyone interested has any questions about it

I'm confused if you guys were considering the FS Veloster since you kept showing footage of it. The Veloster N only came on the JS facelift from 2018 onward, but while talking about it you were showing footage of an FS Veloster Turbo. Also just to be a dick, Hyundai's warranty is now 150,000miles 15 year warranty and it transfers to new owners if you sell it. Gotten over $5,000 worth of service done for free just on the warranty.
