Korean cars looking much more mature and dignified than most other manufacturers now days. I've felt from test driving some models, they were all very solid feeling on body structure when going over rough pavements and bumps. Clearly there are differences between other manufacturers vehicles. They felt more robust.

The Korean car industry is the fastest developing one I have seen until now. The quality is up there with the best from Europe and Japan. In fact, the build quality and the perceived sense of quality of cars from Korea are better than the Japanese equivalents these days. Amazing. Also impressed with the new Maserati inspired tiger nose grille. It gels very well with the rest of the car and doesn't seem like an afterthought. As always, a great fan of your reviews and looking forward to more such excellent reviews from you in the near future. God bless you.

I wish KIA and Genesis could better integrate their front sensors. As it stands they have that large glass on the grill. The car looks great and the screens are a huge improvement. The high gloss does scratch and KIA needs to change that part of the interior design. Are they still going to sell the 3 liter versions with 290 hp? Also, is KIA moving from Harmon Kardon stereos and speakers to Bose? I believe the 2020 Soul also has Bose speakers.

We all agree that dual injection is superior to direct inj., but we shouldn't forget that it's even more complex. Yes nowadays emission regulations require much more, but I prefer simplicity... Companies like KIA do invest in all that and into the interior. Worries about where cost cutting measures are taken arise... eg. materials not visible?rust? Long term ownership won't be discussed now, but we all should keep that in mind.

Creditable review...thanks! I have a 2014 Kia Cadenza V6 Premium, bought used but in showroom condition in 2015. I'd judge the '20 Cadenza styling refresh to be unsuccessful. The grille looks like some dentist learned orthodontia from videos. The rear fascia also looks like the redesign was driven by expediency and not thematic coherence. I think the 2014 and later Cadenzas were more like recent Kia (K 900) and Hyundai (Genesis) upscale models, in which symmetry and proportion govern the styling clues. That said, the Premiere offers a very up-to-date roster of convenience and safety features, and seems to ride and handle with the aplomb befitting its class. I'm on my third Korean car (Elantra to Optima to Cadenza, all trouble-free), and part of my motivation is the verve and feistiness of the brands, hungry and with an unshakable will to be recognized for making cars competitive with the best in their class.

The mileage is not outstanding: 17 in built-up areas and in the high 20s on the highway. My car has the V6, whereas my Elantra and Optima were 4s. Maintenance has been uncomplicated and inexpensive, on a par with the Optima.

If there wasn’t six of us in the family right now, I’d take a longer look.. I ‘d prefer the V-6. A.P. have you tested the V-6 in this car, if so how much difference is there in the weight over the front end?
@AsianPetrolhead5 жыл бұрын
Well, not sure how much difference at the front end. But 2.5L 18" weights 65kg more than 3.0 V6. (18") thank you.

Asian Petrolhead looking at the specs on this vehicle for our side of the Pacific the V-6 is the only engine offering anyway.

hey Charlie.. will there be a more powerful Cadenza "GT" or "GT-Line" coming out?.. would be so nice if Kia comes out with 3.3T on this bad boy.
@AsianPetrolhead5 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if there would be a performance variant. Not in Korea. But let's wait and see what Kia would do for international markets. thanks

I love this car and really like the changes they made in the refresh. But I wish they had a more powerful engine available as an option. They won't be able to sell this in the US as it is here.
@JT-fq2bl5 жыл бұрын
The Kia Cadenza is already sale in the United States with the 3.3L V6 engine. Expect the Telluride/Palisade engine to be debut in the upcoming 3 gen of the Cadenza. Don't expect any turbos to be attached to this ride. That's reserved for the Stinger.

@@JT-fq2bl I guess you didn't notice that this is different from the one sold in the US? This is the refreshed model, which isn't available yet in the States. But I think you're right. That 3.8L would be perfect for this car!
@AsianPetrolhead5 жыл бұрын
Well, they do offer 3.0 V6, so i think V6 will be nice engine for US market. thanks JOhn
@johnholst5 жыл бұрын
@@AsianPetrolhead That 3L V6 is very old and not very powerful or efficient. Unlikely they could sell that in the US either. I think they have to put that new 3.8L engine to be competitive. Have a good one Charlie!
