Brother, your review is inclined towards Kia Carens. The seat width of Kia is smaller than XL6. Headroom of Kia in 3rd row is less than XL6. You should have sat over there to film. More over as per market information 6 seater is available in higher end models of Kia and not base models. Kia is fancy and good but not value for money. Virus filter is a hype. Compare cars of same price and same year market release. There is always a room for improvement everywhere. Good luck.

What is a very important factor from a family point of view apart from comfort is safety and the Carens hits the ball out of the park here with 7 airbags, EBD, abs, etc..right from the base version. Maruti, as we all know is really bad on this front.

My XL 6 AT in works excellent in City traffic, due to hybrid motor so minus 5 marks of Kia out of 10 , you haven't explain hybrid motor system

We didnt explain the hybrid motor as this wasn't a full comparison. We just wanted to stick to space / comfort / features. And yes, Bunny owns the XL6 and is pretty happy with urban runs. SHVS helps with extra torque, gearing is perfect and with flowing traffic he gets an easy 15-16 kmpl as per the display :)

Carens is way too expensive for an XL6 buyer....coming to comparison, back rest of the middle row seats in Carens is very small, AC vents are more van like and throw is not that great, Engine is grossly underpowered esp diesel with 7 people onboard Carens manual struggles with lack of power. both the car's NCAP is pending however going by the data available from previous models its likely to be the same. Now where is the extra money going in Carens...1) funky interiors 2) useless air-purifier and unnecessary connected features... Had Kia given better engines its money well spent....but that's not the case.

Prestige plus 1.4 Turbo petrol Manual is very powerful, feature rich and value for Money compared to XL6 and Ertiga. How I know? I did a test drive and I loved it

@@aruninstru even im using Ertiga 2021 model, even if i go around 140-150kmph i dknt feel a vibration at all. i think u need to check ur car once may be u need to do tyre alignment or something else. or else this car is really practical put u less hole in ur pocket, within a year ive driven 20k kms till now no problem goes like a champ!!

definitely there is one difference between 2, i.e... seats in carens are small compared to xl6.I can clearly observe when you boarded and checked both 1st and 2nd rows of both cars

Although you took up a good topic & did well 👍. But you left out, many important points .... Why ?? You left out ... 1) thigh support in all rows ... also knee angles of 3rd row passangers 2) 3 passangers shoulder room in 2nd row. Also sliding space for legs below seats. 3) visibility of bonnet from front seat 4) tilt & telescopic steering 5) whether windows open fully or partially . 6) ground clearance 7) many features of Kia will be available at 19.5 lakh on road . 8) Turbo engine will be a must after first 2 base versions ... thus forcing people to pay 2 lakh extra with more service costs & shorter engine life. I am waiting for XL7 & hope it comes with 6 airbags .

I think Kia carens is much better than XL6 in all parameters.its prestige model gives everything any one needs in MPV in just 12lacs on roads,even they provide 6 airbags in all varient .

XL6 Zeta Model' on road price is 12.6 lacs but Kia Carens base model ex. showroom price starts from 14 lacs onwards and it will be not less than 16 or 16.5 lacs on road. There is almost 4 lacs of price difference between both these models. Kia is a higher end model and should not be compared with XL6. The Ideal competitor for Kia Carens is Hyundai Alcazar.

@@kishorekittu8201 i agree, but I am sure Carens would not be better either in safety and body strength. After all Kia is Korean and Japanese and Korean make light body cars to gain on mileage. Only Germans and American cars and yess.. Our very own Tatas make stronger cars, where they do compromise on mileage a little bit.

Good compare, good job but remember XL6 3 years old and Caren is just came in and it's make Big difference. XL6 top model came in 12lack Caren top model in 16 lack it's big difference. if you put 4lack in XL6 then it will be unbeatable.

Your argument does not make any sense, xl6 lacked a lot of features even when it was launched. It didn't make any sense as a baleno from 2016 had more features than xl6 while being pitched as a premium offering. I myself was considering xl6 due to lack of options but Carens really can change the game.

1.4 ltr petrol engine in 18-20 lakh? i purchased 1.4 ltr diesel in 8 lakh. some may say it is turbo. first read what is turbo. it should not be so expensive that manufacturers have increased prices by 5-7 lakhs. I will prefer non turbo maruti xl6. engine may be under powered but i wont feel like looted. both are cheaply built. Turbo is using engine exhaust for pumping fresh air more forcefully, for improving combustion and thus improving power and efficiency. no specialized engineering or technology is required. This technology was innovative, not expensive.
