That 7 year warranty is a huge pull, and with Kia's reputation for reliability, it's a solid all round package..... Very practical, well equipped and solidly built... Personally I prefer this over the ProCeed. The Skoda Octavia might run the Ceed a close second in several areas, but it doesn't offer an extended 4 or 5 year warranty unless you pay for it.... The Kia 7 year reassurance comes with the car from new....

Funny how these specs differ per country. I am from the Netherlands and I have the 1.0 T-GDi MHEV DCT7. Drives very nicely and has some torque because of the MHEV part. They don’t seem to sell the MHEV anymore though, a PHEV is available. We do still have GT(plus) lines here, also automatic boot opening, digital cockpit, wireless phone charging, heated seats/steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, reverse collision assist. Almost feels like the UK versions are very stripped down… Very good review! I highly recommend this car as a budget friendly family vehicle.

the manual gearbox is awful clutch bite is far too low, the auto wasn't available when I got mine but I've heard that many problems with the dct I am glad I didn't, not enough power with no MHEv should have been a 2.0 diesel.

I have seen some i30 tourers for around the same price with a significantly better MPG and insurance

Does anyone own the 1.0 tgdi? I would like to buy it but I'm afraid that you have to push it to make it go, especially on roads with slopes (for example on mountain roads). Experiences?

Check at your dealer as it can vary based on trim level, engine type (no spare wheel for hybrids) and country.

Mines a 2018 with spare wheel...pretty sure new models don't have them but you can buy aftermarket

can anyone explain to me (1) does this have mild-hybrid? (2) why decrease in power from 160ps to 140ps with same engine?

No hybrid I don’t think. It’s decreased power to suit emissions for Euro 7 for 2025 and now all new cars being built now have moved to 2025 spec engine which is rubbish. I ordered a proceed in April and is only getting built now so will have the 138 engine not the 160 I ordered 🙁

@@JonnyMc7 i hope 138 engine has some better turbo as my 160 has a massive lag from start, bot once its moving its for sure alright and fun, passing other cars especially is great.

Engine has the same torque though, so in most situations you wonˋt miss the 20 bhp.

@@eisi-x7n i was doing my kia service and talked with sales manager, he confirmed that engine is the same and that power feels the same, however he saidthat 103kw engine for some reason is louder
