How is it using a dct? Everytime I swap into my buddy's dct Forte, I always end up like 6 to 10 seconds slower than the run with my 6 spd Forte, no matter how hard I try or what tactics I use.

I like the DCT. It’s versatile and quick! My times are not far off from other competitors in Autocross. I have already placed 2nd and 3rd in different events.

The standard Kumho tires don't cut it when doing an autocross. They're barely good enough for the street.

They’re honestly not bad. I have gotten about 18K miles on the stock kumho including 2 autocross sessions. They’re now right at the point where they need to be replaced. Any recommendations?

@@fortefullyloaded For summers go with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02's. For allseasons go with their DWS06.

My forte gt came with Michelin ps4s, is the manual version. Awesome tires.

The Kumho suck. I drove on them for a month and got rid of them. My Yokohama Advan Apex V601 was just right.

How’s the wear on those so far? I just recently got the Michelin PS4 and the grip difference is significant compared to the Kuhmo lol

It's a 280 treadwear. I've had them for almost a year. They should be about the same if the PS4 is wear like the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The Yokohama are significantly cheaper than the PS4.

I hear you. I got a good deal on the PS4 which I couldn’t pass up, and so far so good. I already completed one autocross session with them.

Yes, steering with one hand is always better while racing through an Autocross.

The forte GT is offered in a manual transmission. I have the DCT version. Most autocross tracks Max out at 2nd gear between obstacles though.
