As the owner of a purchased in 2020 18' Elatntra Sport DCT, I was exited for it's platform mates refresh and a little jealous of the much more dynamic interior (actually having silver door pulls for starters) Very happy with this platform for what it cost. Handles great, dampened perfectly if you ask me. I recommend everyone at least get a K&N drop in if not get rid of the air box and the car gets its breath much better and maybe a slight improvement in mileage, also a catch can. I swapped for a catless downpipe and unlocked a ton of boost and now I get a higher typical running average of 28.8 mpg.

Those that have been down the harder compact factory riding car ownership life are assuredly familiar with what I am about to suggest, so for everyone else, consider dropping down in wheel size from 18". Already have planned my 16" swap. The more tire sidewall, the more cushion. And, if you know how to shop for wheels, you can drop some rotating mass weight for greater efficiency that correlates to better braking, increase in power to the pavement, and more affective performance and lower wear on the suspension/brakes. So many reasons to do this. Nothing but win.

i mean if you sit in any car for 5hr straight your gonna feel a little uncomfortable
@PerformanceOnWheels2 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Road trip across country in 2004 cts-v never mentioned being uncomfortable. 26 hrs. In my BMW. No complaints. 6 hrs. In my f150, easy. Different experience, thoughts in Forte.

Great review can't wait to get my 23 soon only 2 things I would have changed is an integrated screen I don't mind analog speedometer for functionality because alot of digital dashes although look very nice and updated are having many issues from cars to semi trucks. The other thing would be turn signals integrated into taillights.

Great video, seemed very honest and tried a good bit to say pros and cons. Seems to be a favorite sports car in that price range. Currently debating between this car and a Hyundai Elantra N-line. Any tips/experiences with either would be awesome!
@11onejay Жыл бұрын
Elantra n is in a different league. If ur looking at an n I'd highly consider looking at the k5 gt at that point.
@nicholasoberle2894 Жыл бұрын
@@11onejay Oh not the Elantra N, the Elantra N-line. It's practically the same car as far as specs with the Forte GT. Roughly the same price as well (Elantra N-line sitting around 28k, while GT with GT2 package at 27.5k), however without the GT2 package features. GT2 includes a lot more bells/whistles than the N-line. It seems like the Elantra looks better on the outside though. I have scheduled test drives with both of them so we will see which one wins out!

I cross-shopped those exact two cars…bought the GT2 because it comes with LED headlights where the N Line sports halogens. I needed the upgraded lighting.

What did you decide??? We recently purchased a Kia Forte in Fire Orange GT Line. We love the car and so do our neighbors. For the price (we did not pay any dealer mark ups) we got a very nice loaded car for about 20k. No moon roof, but that's okay. Kia Forte for the win.

I bought N-Line a few weeks ago. Way better car as far as features, space, and ride comfort goes if you can stand it's polarizing shape. I love mine!!

Not sure why your m.p.g. is low. I have a '21 Elantra N-line with manual trans. and I get over 40 mpg on the Interstate. Auto trans. supposed to get higher. I waffled between mine and the Forte GT, but I just like the looks of the Hyundai better. Same platforms and tech...I love mine.
