No because there is something on the bottom side of the headlamp that holds the bumper

My 2012 Kia Optima and the driver side headlight doesn't come on. I replaced the bulb which is a pain the butt, and headlight still didn't work. Mechanic said more than likely I have a short in the assembly. It is a lot of condensation and water inside the headlamp. I hope that's what it is. Seems like a lot of work putting a headlight assembly in.

Also check the fuse and check the plug for the lamp to make sure you have power and ground for the bulb that's out
