I just want to thank you for posting this!! I have a 2011 Kia soul and after getting my windshield replaced, a week later the pillar flew off on the highway. I am looking forward to replacing it myself now after you made it look so easy.

Sorry if I sound stupid but sorta trying to learn how to replace my pillars for my Kia too my mom knows nothing about cars and My dad isn’t in the picture so your daughter is lucky to have you ! 😄 Question 🙋🏽‍♀️; What’s the tool that you used to take off the little screw things when you took of the pillar ? I just want to say thank you for posting this video. I have a 2012 soul and my window pillar trim is cracking as well. I know it's just cosmetic, but I HATE it, so I got the part numbers from the dealership & your video shows me that since I found the parts myself for half the price, it's easy enough that I might as well replace them myself. 🙂

Big help! Was replacing 2020 kia soul windshield and hadn't ordered the a pillar plastic trim. I was yankin on em and had a feeling like any more force and they would just snap off, thanks so much! For other windshield guys, kia dealership said they break 8/10 times on replacement, might want to bring some before you show up with the glass!

The place that replaced my windshield stated the same. The managed to re-use one, but it started coming off soon after (letting loose at the top), and eventually blew off on the interstate one day. Next time I'll buy my own as I found I could purchase a set of both on Amazon for less than the windshield place charged me for one.

Okay so I see you know what your doing on the Kia so I have one also and on the dashboard front window there’s the vents there’s a little crack in between them I dropped my diamond ring inside the vent I don’t know how to take the car apart to get inside for it

I have a second generation soul, do you know if replacing the process of replacing the pilars is the same ?

From my understanding they did away with the Pilar’s in later years so these should be the same, but I am no expert on Kia souls :)

Where did you buy the new plastic pillars? I called Kia and they want around 150 EACH for those things.

Did have to replace thee steering coupler yet? I just replaced mine and saved $300 dollars from Kia. It's a little work but took me 48 minutes to do it. There is a great video on KZbin that the guy goes step by step. - kzbin.info/www/bejne/naHXkJdvra2pmtk I missed the 10 year extended warranty time frame by 22 days! Did not know about it until I started researching it. I bought the car used!
