Kia Stinger GT - Rear Brake Pad Replacement 37K Miles!!

In this video I replace the rear brakes on my 2019 Kia Stinger GT. My rear brakes had 50% pad left but were getting pretty noisy and needed to be changed. See my previous video on replacing the front brakes.
Easy to replace and loud squeaky rear brakes.... no more... well for now. Driving 500 miles this weekend and will put them to the test.

So the vibrating in the front is from rotars heating up real fast and cooling down. Therefore t hey get warped from heating and cooling. You can get some ceramic brake roters for the car like I did on mine. After changing my rotors in the front. I've not had an issue with vibration sense....thanks for showing the back brake video, I have 75000 miles on my gt and back brakes are still doing great....have a good day.....

@@joshgathings007 also there is a brake fuse recall for the stinger it supports the proportion system.....and also check for wiring harness recall. Had those problems but kia took care of it have a great day.....

Before you replace you should push with flat screwdriver back brake caliper to fit new pads

didnt see how the pistons were pushed back. Did I skip that part? Also the Electronic parking brake doesn't require any reset or manipulation?

Think I pushed them back with a screw driver

We’re you able to push back the pistons manually with no issues? Like, you don’t need to tap into the ECU first to retract the pistons so it doesn’t screw up the parking e-brake calibration?? Thx for the video .

Yes , I pushed them back manually without any issues or tapping into the ECU 👍

I assume the parking brake needs to be off. How do you do that with engine off?

@@adilator yes, parking break off and engine off

@@joshgathings007 When I turn the engine off, it applies the parking break automatically. how do I prevent it from doing that?

@adilator that's interesting as mine doesn't do that but you should be able to release it with the lever. You might have to turn on the power in the car without turning on the motor and release the break that way

Those two silver tabs at the top that have L and R are hanging loose after about 15,000 miles. Did you have to push those down. Ive notices a slight whobble on my pads when vehicle is in park

Mine are holding tight for now, I must have pushed them down but no issues since I replaced them

Did the squeaking ever stop?

Still squeaks under light braking here and there. Firm braking there is no squeak. I should have re surfaced my rotors...

Do you get any clunking sounds from the brake pads being slightly loose up and down with in the caliper? That's what I'm getting after I changed my pads, trying to see if anyone has found a solution.

I just changed my pads today and have that little click. Found any solutions? I used Bosch BE2144H and BE2145H pads

I just bought the pads after 47k lmfao. First owner didn't replace anything. Got the car at 27k miles

Oh wow, congrats on your new stinger. When braking prior, did you notice shaking under heavy braking?

The stop tech ones apparently never came back in stock ,,, side note K8 are price gougers not really a fan of them 90 bucks for a couple of plastic center caps with the E badge is utter blsht and of course no body is selling just the E sticker

@@joshgathings007 and oddly your not even the only KZbinr to mention the stop tech ones and they still have them on the site as out of stock (which seems like at least 2 years in that status 🤷). Side note got the same breaks from your video so hopefully they stop the odd grabbiness at slow speeds I'm having
