Hooper is respected by almost everyone in the game! He put that wallabie jersey on his back and carried us through so many test matches. He was a great leader and is well respected by many Players and coaches in the game. He just did the small things great and was just such a good leader for us when we had him. Great to see him making a little bit more money in Japan & great to see steve paying respect to Hooper a man who he coached against often call him up (Even after he is retired) for a replacment.

Wildkard, Your passion and polarisation for the game of rugby is unparalleled. But for the love of god please do not act like some form of left wing political virtue signaller. Because you ain’t. We come to you to escape that bullshit and you may find a lot of folk aren’t indoctrinated by the left and find the this level of discourse ridiculous. There are enough places on KZbin where we can find this . Keep with the rugby. Keep the emotion. And we will love you for it. Peace and love brother ❤

A couple of comments. First I am glad to see Michael Hooper back and have a chance to finish his career on a high note. Second I think Havili is a better than average Superrugby player and while his form was disappointing last year he has played well for the Crusaders over a long period of time so I will wait to see how he performs as captain before criticising him because he dragged Tasman to an NPC final win over the Blues. Third I think you will find that for most of his career McCaw did not captain the Crusaders. Early in McCaws career Reuben Thorne was captain and Kieran Reid in the latter part. Scott Barrett is not a happy choice as All Blacks captain because most of the NZ fans resent the long term success of the Crusaders and he's apparently too quietly spoken for the loud mouthed North Islanders - I get they want a captain that demands high standards and effort from his players but being aggressive towards referees would be counter productive. My thoughts anyway.
@Wildkard10 күн бұрын
@@reidashton4280 thanks for the info I thought McCaw was the cap always. I like that u are willing to give Avila another go. With regards to Scotty who else could be captain at this point if u want someone more out spoken. I remember Scotty picked apart the law when captains challenge was trailed for a season.

Hi Wildkard, No. 1) Akria Leone wasn't born in Japan, he was born on the 16th of June in Auckland. No.2) What happened to Chiefs/All Blacks great Pita Gus Solakua? This was the only 2 All Blacks test matches he was a part off before he was kicked out by Ian Foster. Won vs Ireland by 42-19, at Eden Park Auckland in 2022. Loss vs Ireland by 12-23, at Forysth-Barr Stadium in Dunedin in 2022. And that was it for Pita Gus Solakua. Then I think he played overseas, over in France for money.

Ian Foster the worst All Blacks of all time. Basically had the All Blacks playing Rugby League Lite.
@ryansimms3110 күн бұрын
@@OscarOSullivan I don't think he was the worst All Blacks coach, he was just average putting players in the wrong positions. But he did manage to turn around the All Blacks from losing the first ever RWC match against the Host France by (13-27), to all the way to the RWC Final where we just lost to the Springboks by (11-12). Where the TMO interfered the entire Final with some controversial calls. But the Springboks did deserve the win!
