just got a simplehuman trash can and I LOVE it. i got mine 20% off from bed bath and beyond too (got a bigger one since im also with my bf) but it's one of those things im SO thankful i spent money on now that i did! wish i wouldve done it sooner because now ive spent probably $200 over the years on crappy trash cans lol

I would totally grab another one of the baskets for the bottom shelf in your closet - I'm a sucker for additional storage! My favorite things for tidying and organizing are definitely my baskets! I actually just helped my boyfriend's dad reorganize his kitchen, pantry, and bathroom with baskets and he's so pleased with them! I also love to throw on Tidying Up with Marie Kondo when I'm tidying because it just gets me in the right mindset and it's also good background noise (now that I've seen it like a dozen times lol)!

I bought a cheaper Simple Human trash can years ago and it's still working wonderfully. I have not purchased the special trash bags since the included ones ran out. I use regular bags and they work just fine :)

The apartment is coming together so nicely! Love all the white/cream coloring because it keeps your apartment bright and open looking! I am huge on baskets and drawer organizers to help me get everything organized. The other is to go through things every couple of months to downsize where I can. If I haven’t worn it in over a year... it gets donated to Goodwill. That helps too 😊

Custom fit trash cans are just to fit better. Not necessary, you can use the regular ones. Look for the Joseph Joseph utensils holder for your drawer. They are skinny and use better the space

For the closet you could get a label maker and put labels on all your bins so you know whats in them!

Hi, I think you’re going to love having the trashcan standing on its own the way you have it. It’s much more energy efficient to not have to open a cupboard every time you want to use a trashcan. I love watching the thought that’s going into the organization. These Moving Diaries are so much fun!

Loving the moving series!! I would recommend that you swap out the wired basket for another one from the container store. It would allow you to store more sweaters at a time and it would look more cohesive. But if that’s pretty much however many sweaters you plan on having in your closet then disregard what I said

The moving diaries is getting better and better! I just got a bigger shoe rack for all my shoes (I’m a shoe lover) I used to have them in different rooms in my father’s house. Now they are all in one place. But my goal right now is to take out some shoes out, Is getting crazy and I don’t use all of them anymore. Plus: is that a tool box and a Vacuum?

I was wondered if the white bins fit on the shelves in your closet? I know the would be a little cheaper and the can look mor uniformed. Anyway, if I’m not mistaken I know you are going to be completing hard science courses at your community college and then you plan to transfer into a nursing program, which I know you are going to accomplish your goals...
