The cxa amplifiers are so good clean clean power i had 2 800.1 amps on the kicker box with 2 LZ s 12 d4 in the premade kicker boxes from best buy and they did a 146 in my scion tc .

Kicker makes 50 years in business 2023. I believe they alway planned on putting the Solo x out this yr to mark the 50 yr anniversary. The first solo x came out in 2003 so 20yr anniversary as well as Steve Irby's last hooray and 50 yr anniversary of kicker

I'd still love to see a movement away from analog RCA inputs on amplifiers, and outputs on head units. The end of the need for a DAC as everything today is digital, be it CD, MP3, etcetera. The addition of Bluetooth as an input has changed things as well, but for hardwire connection, there's better options over RCA.

Yeah I dunno man, I myself had a pair of the original grey cone SoloX 10's and let me just tell ya imo there is no other 10in woofer that could do what those babies did atleast not then and likely still today! As far as these new L7SoloX subs I honestly would prefer and take thee old ones over these anyday of the week... From all the testing in actual SPL setups they've not taken nearly as much burp power and they've have failures with their SPAIR design coming apart either at the triple joint or the spider hold down ring and this is on nowhere near the 5-10k watts that the old models took like a champ! So yeah for all the original SoloX guys who been waiting for these and expecting them to perform like or better than the old ones it is quite a disappointment however they did gear these new ones more towards daily driver setups where we just simply took an spl woofer and designed a box that would push it into a daily role and it worked extremely well so that change didn't need to happen lol if ya ask me what they've actually done here was create a mid-tier woofer that has the drop-in rebuildable feature not this monster that everybody was expecting and there is absolutely zero chance that these will be setting any world records like the old model did.... So yeah, they took the woofer out of the SPL lanes and handed it to the street beats who now have the on-site recone ability period.... Just like the old WARHORSE was a very solid 10k watt rms underrated amp which was unheard of to have that kind of power back then and now they're tarnishing that name also and going to drop a 3k warhorse? Should be called a war-ass or war-foal like a donkey or a baby horse not the true warhorse of the old days who went into battle in them lanes and set world records! I mean sure they've made a great product but they did right by calling it an "L7" soloX because its closer to the L7's than it is the original SoloX monsters! Sure hope that we see some great improvements in the 15 and 18 inch geared more towards SPL whenever they finally drop or iffff they ever do! Then what do they exoect us to do, have two separate vehicle's one for the subs and a trailer or a 2nd vehicle to haul the massive amount of babyhorse amps it would take to make the kind of power needed to earn trophies and set records?!?!? SWIIIIING N A MISS Kip and Steve swing and a missss!

Kicker needs to realize when you got orion an all these other tried an true brands. the Dyno ill take over the 30 yr old equipment alot of these companies use. Power matter's. Longevity matters. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, and we never bash other brands, no matter what they do/say. So yes, "OK" is all we can say. We tried things like BT remotes but found them unreliable and ran out of power too quickly. We could certainly re-brand a very inexpensive, low quality amp with a high power rating (that doesn't do the power it promises reliably), but that's not us. We make amps from the ground up here. We have 10 labs and 50+ engineers on staff. We test it for sound quality across the entire bandwidth (not just leak power). We test it for reliability. We test it to CEA specs. We make very sure that when an installer puts our amp in a vehicle it works, sounds great, does what we promise and more. We know people sometimes defer to cheap over good. That's fine. That's on them. We have standards we wont change. Ever. Our moral compass will always point true north.

There are a few factors you have to determine, all of which require you to take measurements: First is available clearance (tip: you'll need at least an inch or so between the subs and any solid object so they can move properly) and available air space. Once you know that, you can determine which sub size is right for you. Then you can determine the best amp for the subs you choose.

We tend not to compare ourselves to other brands, since we do things differently than most. Lots of R&D, lots of testing, and very high performance/reliability standards. When they come out, you'll see quite a few reviews, to be sure.
