Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Only guy right now out here fishing! All the other ones that I used to watch are building boats and doing Walmart chalanges. They have lost my interest. Thanks for keeping it true to what it is Noah and that's fishing! My son has yet to use the KTB combo I got him. We will be finally going out sometime this week to use it. Catch you on the next video!

I know you love the run and gun style, we all do but this should also reinforce how important slowing down on key areas is. Everyone else struggled in your areas. How many times did you make the same cast 4-5 times before the bite?
@brucepreston39272 жыл бұрын
It took me along time to realize that I needed to slow down, especially when fishing main river spots...You really can make the same cast 5 times and catch a good one on the last cast!

I can honestly say my first tournament was a disaster. I haven’t been in a position to get in on another one. However, I like the adventure of searching for the good fish and also letting my boys switch up lures and soft plastics looking for a good bite. Man, I’ve got to get in on some KTBtv combos. Keep up the cool, adventurous videos. The south is my original home place so, I love watching and remembering the great days. You all know; any day fishing is better than any day working.

U don't throw a big single Colorado blade at night? Slow rolling a blade at night is SUPER SUPER hard to beat ESPECIALLY now that the water temps are up! The war eagle single Colorado blade, (BLADE COLOR DOESN'T MATTER BUT LOW KEY I GO WITH THE PURPLE BLADE WITH A TWIN TALE GRUB!! That's a afternoon/night time FISH CATCHER my dude! Props for sticking it out with those trolling motor issues! Most dudes especially by theirselves aren't trying that!! Good job💪💯✌️

Are you burying the hook in the worm and crawl or are you sticking it thru and skin hooking it to be weedless? Looks buried tho. Trying to learn something here 😂. I’ve been sticking thru and skin hooking but it tears and comes out easily. Awesome video man! Thumbs up!
@scuba6797 Жыл бұрын
Hi, It's called Texas Rig. #1 way to rig soft plastics. You want the point of the hook to run along the body. Don't poke it back in to try to hide it 100%. Like you said it will just ripp your bait and you'll miss some fish. Good Luck.
